I'm so sorry to hear this news. I know how hard it can be to lose your furry loved one. The pictures are lovely. I hope they along with the memories they will bring to mind will comfort you when your sweet baby is gone.
Third time in a short while you've had this heartbreak. I'm still hurting over Sugartoes a year ago. What a great kitty life yoy provide, though. It's a palace. complete with thrones in the sewing room. Thinking of you lots these next hard days.
Thank you so much... there is something about quilts and cats. Even now, Snap is hiding under a quilt my mom made about 30 years ago.
Sorry to hear about your fur-kid and I understand the difficulty you are experiencing.
All of us that have lost a pet know the heartbreak you are feeling. Hugs to you. and more hugs
Thank you so much, I'm really getting tired of being heartbroken..... I want to be on the other end of kitty life. We are thinking of foster a momma cat, help her with her babies to be very healthy. Find them homes, and then spay and keep momma... Not os much heartache
I too understand how hard it is to lose a beloved fur baby, My heart goes out to you because I know how much emptier the house will feel. Please know we all have you wrapped in cyber hugs and will be here whenever you need us. And these pictures are such treasures. Keep them close to remember the happy times and to honor Snap.
Thank you , Karen, we do have some wonderful pictures of him and with Crackle and Poppy. It is hurting more because we are thinking of having no more mammals. We are 71 and it doesn't seem fair to adopt kittens....
I am so sorry to hear you are losing your last furbaby. They are very beautiful... My sympathies. IT is so hard to make the decision to put them down. Prayers coming your way...
Thank you so much, seems crazy to grieve so much for a cat! I think it just adds in to all the other losses of our lives.
Oh! Jan, I'm so sorry to read this post about your last beautiful boy(?) It's always so sad to say goodbye, but you know he has had a wonderful life living with you and his siblings too. May God grant you peace when he finally passes on to the other side of the Rainbow bridge. Love and blessings and thinking of you all, Chris
Thank you Chris, it doesn't seem that long ago when they were such cute little kittens. It was on oof the best days of my life when I got to bring home 3 kittens on the same day!
sorry to read about your dear furry friend. I know how it feels, but know also they will always keep that special place in our heart. And who knows one day we will meet them again like they wrote in the rainbow poem. For now, give him as much much cuddles as you can and spoil him with lots of love in his last days......Thinking of you, hugs )))
I've been cuddling him so much, he's kind of telling me he has had enough! Thanks
Hello Jan, I know exactly how you feel. 15 months ago I had to euthanize my sweetheart because of kidney failure. Since it was clear that there was no more rescue, I have shortened her early suffering. I still miss my Pinky, she is irreplaceable. My thoughts are with you, hugs Maria
Thank you, Maria, and each kitty has her own personality. We remember e4ach one, and kidney failure is so hard. I keep wondering if there was something I did to cause it. My husband says pedigree cats are more prone to Kidney diseases.
I had also wondered if I was giving the wrong food or what the problem was.... my vet said that it often happens from 14 years . . as a precaution I was now with her daughter to test, because the kidney disease can not be detected prematurely. All clear, the fat old girl is only mutated to the long sleeper :-)
Thinking of you, I know how you feel, our kitty like your Snap lived to 18 and a half years. When he was gone, we missed him terribly as he used to walk around saying Hello, well it sounded like it. This was 13 years ago. After a month of not sound in the house of our loving kitty we went to out local SPCA and got 2 more cats and then found a stranded little kitten. Hugs from Maureen
OH how sweet. Snap is only eleven! He goes around the house talking too - kind of a loud kitty who wants his opinion heard. I would love to have a stranded cat show up at our door. Around here though any little animal outside gets eaten by foxes.
