If anyone is short of ideas for old jeans, here is another way to recycle them, a car seat cover. I made this for the back seat of the truck to help protect it from a very adorable but sometimes dirty "man's best friend", our 70 pound 2 year old dog.

Great use of this fabric Pam and they are very serviceable. I have never worn jeans! Love Chris

Thank you. These jeans are not mine, that brand is not a good fit for myself but I wear them all the time except in the summer.

Good use for jean reuse. Well done!

I have reused jeans for years. I used to make pillows for my kids and they loved them. Sometimes as soon as I had finished one, it disappeared to one of my kids rooms. They can use them outside in summer on blanket when suntanning, etc. They also make good dog beds. It`s only limited to your imagination.

So true. I also have made a dog blanket for a little pug dog many years ago. I like the idea of a pillow...for the left over scraps.

What a great solution to the problem many of use have...old jeans and big dogs! I like how all the pockets line up for storage.

The pockets in a very nice row was an accident.

Perfectly recycled project. Even pockets for treats. 😊 and a good way to keep the car in good shape. Super great idea.

Thank you. If the seat is not covered, it would not take long before it would be looking shabby.

I love this idea. I once knew a special woman who kept a pair of jeans from each of the children she and her husband fostered and made a gorgeous, but heavy quilt.

Old jeans are very useful, I never throw any away. Now days, though, they are not 100% cotton. The jeans in this project are all cotton.

Thank you. We use on of the pockets for the leash. There was a need to have a cover that is easily washable.
