Today has been a very special day. In Wales my bit of the UK today has been the first day since last year that we have been able to travel further than 'local' so our younger daughter came to visit and it was the first time since the end of September last year. As we are only permitted to mix with one other family at a time and no more than 6 from 2 families she had a busy day fitting everyone in but managed her mother in law, her parents - us and her sister. The last year has been difficult for so many but I am so lucky in many ways and many are less fortunate.

We still may not travel out of Wales and others are not permitted to travel in

Isn't it sweet to be able to physically be together with a family member.
I am glad you were able to meet your daughter.
I am so blessed. My daughter and her family that I used to have weekly dinners with, we all have been vaccinated. I am looking forward to our tradition to resume.

We went on a walk after lunch which was eaten outside. My younger grand daughter discovered it was fun to hold onto the same stick but 6' apart. Not keen on eating out in March in the UK though

Hi Caroline, so glad you got to see your younger daughter. I do hope that your family can get to see each other more frequently from now on.

We had a family gathering at Ben's today and caught up with all the cousins minus Ryke. He had his first Rugby trial right when we were having lunch.

We had a big Palm Sunday service with our two parishes and at the same morning tea celebrated one of our parishioners 80th birthday.

Last week it was decided by our Bishop to shut down our church and the one at Redhead. There are a lot of hurt/upset people. I'm all for it and the sooner we can get moving to our bigger church at Belmont the better.

We actually had our combined 4 parishes from East Lake Macquarie meet today for our Palm Sunday presentation with invited members of parliament etc. It was lovely. I can't wait for the move to take effect and it's like going home for me as the Belmont church was where I was a parishioner for 17 years. I've been at the Belmont North/Redhead parish for just gone 18 years last September.

We actually got to sing without masks and sat closer to each other, but we have been very fortunate here in Newcastle. Love Chris

I am so glad that you got to see your younger daughter. What a special day it had to have been for each and everyone of you. How I wish this would all end soon for all of us. But it is always good to concentrate on the positives and you are so very good at doing that. I hope Wales is starting to bloom. Your country is so beautiful.
