Try some "OdoBan" I use this with my cats or an old wet mop really helps take out odor , but it by the gal only takes a small amount spray and leave it outside to dry .
I have something similar will air it out for a while and see if it gets better otherwise I will try your hint.
Thank you
The smell should be similar to a 100% wool sweater when wet or damp. That actually is proof that it is wool. After a while it will only smell that way when you hit it with heat and steam. Enjoy because it does a great job.
I have one and it has never smelled or maybe my smeller doesn't work...……...lol, but, I do smell other things.
Yes that is a lot like a wet overcoat smell.
I have a super sniffer drives hubby mad as he has no sense of smell.
This is normal. I never found it improved much, but it sure does the pressing job!
Give it a couple of days to dry thoroughly then seal in a Ziploc to avoid moth holes. It took the moths about 10 years to get to mine.
Thank you for your answer. I was just concerned that as I got it at a good price $18.00 Aust for 14 inch x 14 inch that I had bought a dud.
