Peafarm, these look so lovely, on the black they really stand out. Glad you were able to finish your UFO and show us all.
Thanks Toogie. They are years old and I am trying during this Covid stuff to get out old projects and try, when I can, to get something done. The phrase I use though is 'before I die.'
What a delightful wall hanging! I enjoyed seeing all the different butterfles. You must have had a zillion thread changes. Well worth the effort to finish it up.
This was a beautiful design pkt. I don't remember about thread changes but during this time, no thread cutters were invented.
Great wall hanging. Will make your home feel like spring.
Thank you for sharing. Happy Stitching Brenda Lea :-)
Thanks a lot. Your 'things' are very pretty when I see them posted here and other places. I am sometimes not sure how to post comments-I don't know all the little dots and icons that mean something in computer language. I am old school.
Great job, Patti..beautiful wallhanging....
I always loved the butterflies and was fascinated while stitching them out--All I had at the time was the 4 x 4 hoop. They also have the 5 x 7 size but can't bring myself right now to do the larger ones. At least after all these yrs. it is finished.
Beautiful project...love everything you did with this wall hanging....
I made it simple with sashing as it was so busy looking. I have put a rod pocket at the back bottom also and slid in a piece of thin slatted wood for weight and to make sure it hung flat nearer my wall. It is in a hallway.
Great job. It is such a rewarding feeling when a project started way back gets finished. Looking at those beautiful butterflies, I am surre will make you happy for a long time.
Thank you. I do love looking at it. I do think the butterflies are beautiful, even though I feel like I am looking through a magnifier--4 x 4 hoops were all I had at the time. Lots of tiny trimmings.
I, like you, love butterflies. Well done and enjoy it for many a year to come.
I grow flowers and butterflies, hummingbirds, finches etc. come visit often. I am always awed by their colors. My flower days are waning though. My knees and hips hurt too much and surgery is looming. These appliques are beautiful. Thank you.
That's beautiful! I love it!
Hugs, Lidia
Thank you Lidia. I will never be up to your beautiful things but am trying. I have so many 'to-finish' projects started and with Covid around and staying home I am trying to finish some of them, when I can work without interruptions.
These are beautiful Patti and are displayed perfectly. Well done, love Chris
Well, thank you Chris. This display is on my red oak flooring, lol. I wonder why I did not take my pic hanging on my small space of wall?? It is in a little hallway wall before it opens into my big space kitchen, dining, pantry. When you want lots of light you have big doors and big windows so not a lot of wall space. My 'things' don't match mostly but guess I like too much of everything.
