Baby quilt finally finished! Took me longer to put together than I thought. The nursing home my husband is in finally opened up for selective visiting. Decided it was more important to visit him then finish the quilt at a faster pace. Had some trouble with the walking foot changing tension. Finally, change back to the other foot which I have no idea what it’s called and things went much better. I hope I’m putting this in the relight location.

Lovely embroidery and quilt. Who is it for or is it a charity quilt?
Glad you got to visit your husband. I know it helped you even if he may not seem to know you. I'm sure you needed the visit as much as him. Hugs to you-Toogie

Thanks. This quilt was for my son's friend's first baby, a boy, Obi. I've been told that there is a story behind the name. Haven't heard it yet.
Being able to go in and spend time with Jock has been both nice and sad. He has lost 20 pounds and he wasn't heavy. He is 6' and now 155.8 pounds. My daughter and I are on the list that can go to his room. We can not go on the same day as of right now. Sarah gets more smiles out of him than I do. She is gifted at getting him to smile.
I want to make him a quilt book with embroidery of things he saw as a ranger and a couple of favorite Bible verse. I would also like to have some pockets with Embroidery animals connected to the book with some kind of cord. Any suggestion? Thanks for you kind words, Hugs back to you, Robin

Thanks, it’s been over a year. He is the last stage of Alzheimer’s so not being able to do anything but window visits doesn’t help him to remember who we are.
I’m happy with the way the quilt turned out.

It is very cute. I really like your choices of fabric. Making quilts is so rewarding no matter how long it takes.

All the right fabrics were there when I first picked things out. I liked the way it turned out and several of the ones I got are no longer there.

Thank you. I really enjoyed making it. I e started another one with the extra squares I had already cute and embroidered. I was going to make it way to big. Now my neighbor is going to get one for his new son. 😊

The nice thing about fabric is that it does not spoil. Husband was definitely more important. The end result of your quilt is super and yes you put it in the right place.😊. Whoever will receive this should be happy.

One of my son’s good friends just had their first baby! I’m playing grandma since I don’t have any of my own!
