All your projects are perfect. I must have missed KK’s coaster. I do get the newsletter but have been letting a lot go lately. I dread going through all the emails I’m behind on😩 The FSL ballerinas are always so nice! Nora had her dance recital and I really enjoyed it. Ashley enrolled her in another Dance Class and these are more professional. I videotaped some and Ashley snapped a few pictures in between performances that she supposed to send me. We got home late and church early this morning so she will send when she has a chance. Sorry to hear about your mum’s health declining.❤️Toogie
Thanks Toogie, yes I saw the pictures of Nora at dance class. So cute! Thanks for commenting about Mum. It's been a trying few weeks. Love Chris
Great projects and that fairy is quite unique! Don't know how you got it to be so dimentional...maybe molded it someway? How you outlined the petals of the rose gives it extra depth and enhances it beauty. Did you use varigated thread?
Hi Penny, thanks so much for commenting and yes, I used variegated thread on the rose coaster. The dolls/fairies are all made in thread and you just shape them to have the flower parts on their waist etc. Love Chris
Love every single project you show. I'm glad you are so close to get to your mom in a hurry. I wished I could have taken my mom in. It would have disrupted our lives but I would have been able to deal, not my husband. She was 90, mild dementia and my sister kicked her out of her house. Luckily my sister in law, who lived in California at the time, bought a house to move back 'home' and she let my mom move in. Hour drive for me. Then she got sick, to the hospital and then nursing home and I think that killed her more than anything. I am so regretful of not putting my foot down and telling my husband she is moving in. My brother and other sister had excuses too. I took care of all mom's needs. No one else offered the help.
You did the best you could at the time, and you need to accept that you can't just do everything your heart wants.
Thanks Patty, yes, I know what you went through. It's going to be a hard decision for us to make and I hope Mum will eventually come round to being looked after properly by trained people. Love Chris
You really are a busy bee and you do such wonderful work. I take it that the mesh bags are for your lunch ladies. Love your fairies. .
Hi Angie, yes these are for the ladies and the Mug rug, but I'm making the 4x4 for them. This one I'll give to Mum on Sunday for our Mother's Day down here in Australia. Love Chris
Fairies are Beautiful!!Fantastic work done!!All bags Gorgeous!!!
Thanks so much Sonja, I can always count on you for super adjectives about our sewing. Love Chris
Great job Chris. I hope you can manage your strength well while taking care of your mother and also take care of yourself. I love your fairies, hugs Maria
Thanks Maria, I hope so too. My poor sister is going through the same disease with her partner, except he has stage 3 Vascular Dementia. Dementia is such a cruel disease. Love Chris
Your mind and hands are always busy. I'm so sorry to hear your Mum is failing. I know that has to be very hard for your family. But what a blessing you are to her and for her.
I love each of the 4 projects. I couldn't decide on a favorite. They are all wonderful.
Thanks so much Karen, yes, I know what is going to happen and I'm so glad I'm so close to her to help her for as long as I can. Love Chris
Love everything, Chris...you have certainly not let any grass grow under your feet! Busy bee you are...
Great work Chris. I hope your able to keep your mum as independent as possible.
Thanks Caroline, we're trying, but it's getting harder and harder. I'm now having to go over to her home every morning to give her her tablets. Thankfully, I'm only a 5 minute drive away from her. Love Chris
You have been busy. Hugs to you and your Mum
Thanks so much Shirley, hope you are keeping well down in Tassie. Love Chris
