I like your project and it's very interesting !
Thank you !
Looking good Carolyn! I wonder who this purple is for......
:)
I love these colors and this technique. I did this on a bird embroidered wallhanging and put in our homemaker auction with a reserve price of $100.00....thought, if on one willing to pay that it will look good on my wall in the fall. I've made a King Sized double sided strip pieced with the joinery of the sash both sides different color sash and double sided different color binding. It is a fun technique that I didn't find hard to do at all. Been a while though. I have enough [laundry basket full] of strips of different widths and batting cut to start a small quilt or lap quilt. One of my unfinished, to do, use up scraps projects. Great job Carolyn. Never in a million thought I'd say but now I am older I can say---I love purple too. My mom did know what she was talking about. As she aged she got brighter and brighter in colors---I see why now.
Beautiful!! The purple sashing really makes a splash. I like your technique, it looks easier than the way I am planning finishing a quilt as you go that I am working on at this time.
Wow! Carolyn, it's going to be gorgeous. I love the idea of QAYG (Quilt as you go) and yours is going to be awesome once all sewn up. Love Chris
P.S. The colour is beautiful. I love Purple too.
I'm soooo apreciative of you posting photos! As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! Your quilt is looking good and I'm anxious to see the finished quilt.
Always wanted to try this method, now you have shown how to do it, perhaps I will get the courage to have a go. Like the other lady asked, after you have stitched on the joining strip, do you do the other side by hand???
Love the colour, it is my daughter's favourite colour
You can do it by hand but not me ,I am going to try a few fancy stitches from my sewing machine .I have done one panel in a wide serpent stitch which is a wide S through all layers
That is so so lovely and very thoughtful of you to show how as you go.
Question please the fabric between the blocks are you hand stitching it down when you join the second side? Hope that makes sense.
NNNNNNNNo I am doing different fancy stitches on my machine .I showed you but it didn't show up .I will try to take another picture.
Thank you, I got your Nooooooooooo,;-) which was good as I cannot do much hand needle any more. Thank you for the additional picture. You are certainly an encouragement.
Thanks for showing up how to do it. Going to be a very pretty quilt. Happy Stitching Hugs Brenda Lea :-)
Great work..Thanks or Showing the technic...Beautiful!!!
