FYI for everyone. I just got a PM from Vickie (basketkase) saying she is very weak and unable to do much posting. Her hubby (Jim) is working hard trying to get the doctors to begin treatment for her. So pretty please, both need our prayers very very much. I know first hand how important prayers are and how effective they are. Thank you to all for each and every prayer and good thought for them both.

Thanks to Vickie who gave me permission to share. I'm so grateful for the Cute family. We have always been quick to supply prayer support and I am one of many who have benefitted from this love.

Thanks Karen, I've only just seen this post 19 hours later. I do pray that Vicki will get better, You know I thought she was doing too much, I'm so glad that Jim has gotten things moving.

Thanks for your support. I know every prayer is precious.

My husband had this bacteria after the winter storm. A water boil advisory had been issued on television and Facebook. However, since we had no electricity for 5 days and not on Facebook hubby continued to drink the water. He had diarrhea for a month, sometimes 12 times a day. He lost 16 pounds. After telling our doctor we thought we figured it out because of the time line, dr started on meds for it. He said if lab (stool specimen) came back different he may have to change meds. However, diagnosis was confirmed and so he continued antibiotics. He was sick with this when first brother Dean, died. He somehow managed to make the funeral but it was still sometimes afterwards before he was well. Right after he got well is when second brother Douglas died. That bacteria is bad. I hope Vicki gets the right meds soon!

I'm so sorry you and your hubby went through this. I know it had to be very hard on you caring for him, which is why I included you. I'm praying Jim is able to get in touch with a doctor and treatment starts soon. C Diff alone is bad but with Vickie, she also has colitis.

Thank you. I know our prayers and support will make a difference. And, yes, I am doing very well. I'm still working on getting back my stamina and strength, but I have made huge strides.
