They look terrific, Toogie. I'm sure they will be loved!
Wow, Toogie, these are just terrific and I know Jenifer and Jeneane will love everything you've made for them. Well done to you and kudos to your special Cutie for helping out once again. Love Chris
I hope to give them all next Sunday, Fathers Day. I passed the pharmacy this week and Jenny's vehicle wasn't there. I thought she must have taken off, maybe having a bad day. I called to check on her and she told me thanks for being concerned and checking but she was actually on a road trip. I was glad to hear that as she has been too long, shut up taking care of Douglas. I asked if it was just her and her daughter and she said no, 2 nieces with them. One of these nieces stayed with Jenny round the clock, the last week of his life. I am glad they all got away.
These are going to be treasured by the family. The rose design came from Artistic Designs. Hugs
Oh bless you, Shirley. I will have to take a look, if I ever get time-lol-It sure is nice. I think I may have stitched it in pink on Mrs. Lillian's journal. It always stitched well. Love the rose!
Loved you comments as well as the Beautiful finished product. Nice touch placing rose design in different location on each as well as the shirt label and ticket stub. You are so thoughtful.
And you are very observant! Yes, I thought even if the roses all have to be the same color, maybe if I move the rose around, it will change the look a little. Thank you for looking and commenting.
I would like to be there when they take a look at all those beautiful things you created. No matter what troubles you had, they turned out spectacular.
You are very generous with your comment, because you don't have to look close, to see the mess up on Jennifer. Thank you though. That would be nice to have you here!!!
So awesome for these kids to receive and hold their memories in their hearts and hands. I'm proud of the super effort you have made.
My Aunt was a Quaker. When they had blessed the food at table holding hands, they ten raised their hands up and down three times, saying "All love, all love, all love." That's how I feel about what you poured into these journals! Big distanced hug.
IDK what happened to my comment but I'll try again.
Thank you but I felt like I was spending time with Douglas while making them. I remembered a lot of his shirts, he wore when we did this and went there, etc.
Betsey, even though we don't do the hand motions or the saying we still hold hands at the table for prayer. I have to tell you this.
When I was growing up, it was called 'saying grace'. So when Gus was younger (he is only 5 now-lol) I asked him if he would like to say grace. Now a days we say 'Let's pray'. When I asked if he wanted to say grace, he looked at his mom then back at me and said GRACE-Nora got tickled and we tried not to laugh while mom explained I meant did he want to lead prayer.-lol
Beautifully done, Toogie...I am sure it will be treasured for another lifetime...
