Hi Cuties! I wanted to show you these first 2 runners I made with the same 9 fabrics. The fabric was all from my stash, except two were fat quarters gifted to me. I wanted you to see how different they look just with fabric placement.
The third runner I think needs embroidery in the large center but I don’t want to buy a design and not sure I have something that would work.Since we were not able to have our annual 4th of July reunion last year, I wanted to do something special this year by giving these away in a drawing. However, today we had to cancel our reunion. Not because of Covid but because someone vandalized the old home. My daughter went to check on freshening it up and found a mess. So we will stay home and just have my son and his youngest, Caleb and his family and Ashley with hers. Thank goodness all the meat had not been ordered yet.

I'm not American but they are lovely. Not everything needs embroidery on it. Your quilting is art enough. Happy Stitching :-)

My daughter agrees with you about no embroidery so I finished it like this. I finished all three the same day and forgot my signature on all three! 🙄thanks

Kreations by Kara has nice free designs, check out 2016, America the Beautiful, 2018 and 2019 July Freebies are eagles, my personal favorite, since I love fireworks, is 2015. Have not stitch any of the above mentioned, but check them out.

I just finished quilting and binding today. I must say I need practice to stitch in the ditch or maybe I need to slow down to do a better job. My daughter came yesterday and she liked it with no embroidery so that was even quicker-lol- thanks for looking and info

My heart breaks to think your old home has been vandalized. That is so sad. And what a terrible mess to have to clean up.
I do agree, embroidery in the center would be nice indeed. I think the wording would be sufficient to be honest. I think simple is best to not take away from the beautiful fabric.

169064I am so sorry that the old home had been vandalized and you had to cancel your celebration again. Nice thing about the table runners and quilts, they do not spoil. It has always amazed me how different items can look in different colors or layouts. Yours are perfect as always.

Thank you but don’t you think embroidery in the center of the bottom one would look nice? I keep thinking I could put Let Freedom Ring but then I’d need a Liberty Bell. Oh well, looks like I have a year to decide🙄
109774Toogie I always love seeing what you have created its always so inspirational. Also these are very patriotic for your country. My efforts today have been searching inside my machine for a bit of fluff or thread to no avail. Sorry to hear about the family reunion. I hope you have a restful sleep. I had to stop and clean out my emb machine when I stitched those journals. For some reason a bobbin was the culprit and I had a nest under the throat plate. Once I took it off I got more out than the nest. Changed bobbin and worked fine after that.
Yes it’s a shame that an empty house draws the rift raft.
