Love this and that you made it with your grand daughter. She has a great choice of colour.
Hope the shingles vanishes fast its truly horrible
Thank you, Caroline! It is always fun to craft with Vivian! The Shingles are getting better - not gone yet, but I can feel an improvement! Thanks bunches! Laura
I would like to know also where you aquired the pattern, would love to try making this. it really looks nice!
Hi this is so sweet, great job, hope and praying shingles will heal soon, May The Lord Bless You! Hugs
Love that notebook cover size. Did you digitize it? The font is lovely also. I have a note further down on someone's comment on the vinyl. I love the turtles and I just plain love vinyls to stitch on. I know she loved it.
Oh, no, Patti, I didn't digitize it. But it is a simple design. Vivian has an affinity for turtles. She tells me she wants to be a Vetinarian when she grows up! She loves crafting also and had me make her a sewing kit of her own. Thanks!!
Adorable! Where did you get the pattern for the notebook? I have the font in my cart.
What a beautiful notebook cover, where do you buy your vinyl ?
I bought this sheet in an ocean set from kjtwins on Etsey. But, it takes a while to receive their things. They had a sale and I was willing to wait. But, when I need something quicker, I buy a lot on Amazon and My Punk Embroidery. Hudson's Textiles is a good resource too. Hugs to you!!
I love the turtles. Seems I can't find cute vinyl's either that I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for. That is a good size notebook cover. Love it.
Love it. You sure managed to get her favorite themes put together. The result is very elegant. I hope you are feeling a lot better soon.
Thank you, Angie! It was fun introducing Vivian to my new embroidery machine! She was very impressed! Bunches of hugs to you! Laura
Great job...I can't believe Vivian is eight years old... I remember when she was born!
Kim, Vivian will turn 9 on August 2!!! Time does have a way of flying by!!! Thanks bunches, Laura
Laura, this is beautiful.....what a great project!
Thank you Vicki - fun little project with a very happy Granddaughter! Hugs, Laura
Ohhh, you are such a wonderful grandmother! You did a beautiful job too. I'm so sorry you are still struggling with Shingles. I'm surprised you are able to get much done with that chronic pain.
Thank you, Karen - I am only doing a little stitching - that is all I am good for right now. Looking forward to when I can get out and get my Shingle shot and not have to contend with this again!! Lol - I truly shouldn't complain as my case isn't as bad as many go through! Hugs and thanks, Laura
Hi Laura, Vivian’s work is beautiful and I LOVE the colour.
On another note I’m so sorry to read you are still suffering from Shingles. How long does the virus last in a body? Prayers for you to recover soon. Love Chris
Thanks Chris. Shingles last between 3 and 6 weeks!! It is painful, burning, itchy and fatiguing and I wouldn't wish it on anybody. But, I don't think my case is as bad as many others get. I am only into my second week so, I just need to live with it for a while. I am trying to do a little stitching each day. Thank you again!!! Hugs, Laura
You know how much I do love these covers you are able to make. I bet your family love that you got that new machine too!
I wasn't able to find the notebooks like those used here at my local Walmart, just the flip top notebooks.
Hope you feel better soon!
Thank you, Toogie! Next time you are in Walmart - look again - maybe they were just out of them. I noticed that many digitizers are offering the same design. Vivian thought my new machine was really "cool". She is definitely a "crafty" type person - which makes me very happy! Thanks again and hugs, Laura
