A positive of Covid. The town brass band are having a rehearsal almost next to our house. They cannot rehearse inside so they are outside. Not often that live music happens at the moment. We’re sitting in the bathroom on the third floor looking out of the window. A great way of spending the afternoon. Now I’m 64 is being played. Hope your all enjoying today too

I am glad you were able to enjoy a unexpected serenade. Too bad the weather interrupted it. I do not have any memories of brass bands but enjoyed the monthly meeting of friends coming to my childhood home playing classical music. Music can lift the spirits,

Music does lift the spirits. I drove home this evening from being with the boys listening to the ballet music for Swan Lake and remembering watching it on stage as a child and in the film Billy Elliot

Brass bands always reminds me of the Salvation Army when I was little.
That Beatles song makes me think of my mum. She died when she was 64.

Thanks Sarah. I think of my father with brass bands. Just think that now were all past 64...

I remember this feeling! I bought a house 4/10 of a mile from the high school stadium, so my kids could walk to school after I started my commute to job. Both were in the band and I heard many of their outside rehearsals and all of the music show during the games. Glad you enjoyed and you could almost think of it as a performance just for you and a few others.

Both played French Horns, but one son marched Winter Drums one year. That I did not love.

Ohhh, that is so nice to get to see and hear the rehearsal. I'm sure you were enjoying it after all you have been through.
