Hi Cuties! I told you the story about making this runner pattern for a lady. Well I made me a new reversible runner with my new test pattern. This is 17 inches wide after quilting and mine needed to be over 9 feet long. All fabrics from my stash.

I also remade my tablecloth I made last year, by taking the center and one side to make this second runner. I used the other side of the center tablecloth to back my new runner. I found I get more use out of the runners but the reverse side of both are like the middle photo. It still gives me 3 different looks.
I hope you are all well. I found out this afternoon my son’s best friend Trampis & wife Angie have Covid. (Angie also has Cancer) Our son was with Trampis last week. I hope he does’ t get it too. ❤️Toogie

Very nice runners--I knew you could turn the pattern situation into something great!
Watching Idas path from the safety of northern Mich but know the apprehension as we went through several hurricanes when we lived in Texas.
Prayers that your son & family are covid free.

Thanks you know me I gotta give it a try. I wanted to see how lathe I could get it because the first one was too narrow.
Ida was bad but not here, since it turned more east. Terrible for fellow statesmen though. Yes if you have been through them you know you never forget.
Son as far as I know are still ok. My granddaughter called me tonight she said 32 where she works have Covid. They are inmates.

I love love love these three runners! We also have a super long table! Your runners are beautiful! I hope your son's friends are recovering quickly and that your son doesn't catch it. My son-in-law's aunt, who is 48 years old is on a ventilator and not doing well. Such a scary and sad time! Stay safe and hugs to you!

Yes it’s sad and scary to know people that are so sick. One of the preachers here wife is on ventilator but may have actually got her on the Bi-pap today since she finally saw improvement. She has a grown son like our Avery she cares for…..wish the aunt a full recovery. God bless

Thank you Jenne. I laughed at one of my friends comments. She said it must have been hard to keep reducing the soze and them still match up!-lol😳😂🤣 I told her you’re looking from one end of the table to the other. They are all the same size, the view from that angle makes it look like it gets smaller-😂

Love your runners. 9 feet wow. That is a big table. Hopefully people can gather around it again soon. It always amazes me how illusions can be created. You do such great work

I like math so maybe that’s why illusions attract me. However, there are a few that make me dizzy. I like the depth ones like the labyrinth better than circular patterns. Thanks

I love all 3 runners and they make the table so pretty! Kudos to you for using the new pattern in such a creative runner. Glad to hear you did get thanks for your kindness and hard work.

It is more of a challenge than hard work but I was worried Emily & Pete were ill. Thank goodness they were making muscadine jelly. Looks like a hurricane is headed our way. Hope you stay safe.

Wow toogie, don't know which one I like best. Great work - as always!

My 'creativity' yesterday had me turn two sheets that had seen better days into lots of cleaning rags for my hubby - and, don't laugh, overlocked the edges (really!!)

Thanks M, and I am not laughing. When given fabrics I usually overlock the raw edges and throw in the washing machine. It saves a lot of raveling.

Congratulations Martine on yesterdays creativity. Recycling is very important and sheets past their best make excellent cleaning rags as by this time in their life they are pretty much lint free. In the UK clothes and bedding past its best sent to charity shops that are not sellable get sold to a company who chop them up for cleaning rags. The rags are then sold on to garages and the like who need rags

My hubby likes old tee shirts for rags, he keeps in his shed.

I love your runners! You create such beautiful quilting items and you are so creative! The table is gorgeous too, looks like seating for 10. I see a baby chair too. Prayers for you and your family.

Toogie this is all beautiful. Do you sleep? Are you going to send a picture to the person who instigated your latest creation? Sorry question after question.

Thanks C, yes I sleep (lol) and I did send Emily and Roann the pictures. I caught up with Emily last night. She and her hubby were at Roann's house picking muskadines. I called Roann, because she is Emily's cousin and also quilts with us. I told her I got concerned after I had no response from Emily, that she and Pete may be sick since Covid so rampant. All are well, so that's good. I asked Roann was she the 'Us' that Emily wanted me to make the pattern for and she said YES!-thank you!-lol

asterixsew by asterixsew 27 Aug 2021

Just had to look up what a muskadine is so now I am educated. So finally you have had a thank you!

crafter2243 by crafter2243 27 Aug 2021

I also had to research muskadine. Never had heard about them before. .

toogie by toogie edited 27 Aug 2021

They were making jelly with them, but also used to make wine.

I thought I had posted when I made the Bargello tablecloth and window topper. No matter but I like the Bargello too. I used both red sides of the Bargello tablecloth for each runner back. Thanks, take care of yourself while taking care of others. Amy and Steven must be getting excited as the house is getting closer to the finish!
