What kind of fabric did you use for these blankets?
I've been going to try making one.
Yours looks great!
Thanks for your lovely comments. I make my taggys with a cuddle fleece usually one the side I embroider on and a cotton backing. Both are washed before making up, then I cut some of my ribbon stash and pin round the edges. I have a massive collection of ribbons. I try to use a selection of different widths, textures and patterns. Until my eldest grandchild was born I thought they were a affectation but he would find tags on our clothes and played with them so I started to make them for him and for friends who became grandparents to give and to the many friends who became parents. I sew the ribbon in place at least twice to make sure its very securely sewn. Often I make one to match the baby blanket that I often make as a present too. Have a go and have fun as the babies we make for love them and the mothers think its great to haves sometthing with their childs name on, especially if the child has a unusual name which means one never sees anything with their name on. Lastly the finished size is between 20x20 cm and 25x25cm
I absolutely love what you have done with these.....the fabric is awesome!
These are amazing. Perhaps I should attempt one for our new grandson Jan Oliver. I just love the backing material. So colourful for a baby.
Love these! The fabric is so pretty and these make great gifts.
They are looking so great. Love the idea of embroidering the name on them and the cheerful fabric.
That back fabric is wonderful, so much to see and discover.
What size do you make them? Would be lovely to make a few to reduce my stash.
Martine I wish I had bought more of the fabric but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I will measure the taggys and let you know. The blue is larger I remember that much
What fun to see all of the fun on the backing fabric. You have been busy.
These are gorgeous Caroline, I'm sure they will be well received. Love Chris
Love the fabric you have used for the back. Would even suit an older person as a fiddle mat.
Love these - and you are so right - the fabric is so jolly (so colorful) and personalized! Love them!
Adorable and great personalized gift! Babies love them!
