LOL!! I had to have a good laugh. Weird but definitely different
Yep. Weird but wonderful! I'd love it if you post a picture of it stitched out.
Well it may be the most strange design/s that you have ever done, but you sound as if you are really having fun doing something so out of your safe zone. LOL
Yes definitely ugly but somehow appealing. Oh my what does that say about me. "G"
I would say "This is a ugly fairy". I guess to each it's own, but you were able to full fill the wish for a design of a ugly one
That is truly one ugly fairy. Please keep us posted of the project as you are making it. Sounds like it will be fun.
Cat for the upper left and Viper snake for the lower right. All in redwork, and in gray thread. Any other ideas will be appreciated. I'm try to make her ugly, among the plants on the ground and about the be attacked. Not a wicked fairy or a witch - just ugly and in danger. Also fill in the fangs and eyes of the snake with glow in the dark thread, and also the eyes of the fairy and maybe the wings....? What suggestions do you creative people have????
The fairy has hairy legs too and frizzy hair, knobby knees, her eyes will be streaked with red, and her teeth outlined ini brown....
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !!!!! What is she going to be embroidered on ?????????
She will be in a center panel of a quilt with spiders and bats and things - not quite halloween. I'm trying to make her ugly and not wicked - not a witch. So she will be on black background that has a purple border. The whole design will extend beyond the black into the purple. Then behind her to the upper right there will be a redwork cat with her mouth open as if she is attacking the ugly fairy. Then on the borrow right will be a viper snake ready to attack. The rest of the space will be filled with rework leaves/flowers. Probably all the rework will be grey thread on the black and extending into the purple. But, I did think about using glow in the dark thread for the fangs of the cat and snake. Also I'm thinking I'll add some glowing the dark eyes of cats and bats. This is just too crazy.
Actually the cat will be top left and the snake bottom right - all ready to pounce and eat her! Here are the designs I made for those.
Reminds me of that old song "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, find an ugly woman to be your wife." I guess ugly fairies can grant wishes, too.
Ha Ha - that 's a great idea.... Making me think about something changed to include fairy....
Except the lyrics to that song are -
"Never make a pretty woman your wife"!! Love Chris
I just love the knobbly knees this Ugly fairy has. She looks great
Well, it certainly is no beauty. I think you made a great Ugly Fairy!
This is absolutely the weirdest thing I have ever made... in my whole LIFE!
