Oh my. How scary that must have been. I am so glad Lanie is OK. I keep on praying for rain in my part of the world.
What a horrible experience for Lanie to go through. I am glad to hear that she is fine, a car is replaceable but life isnt.
Just read this and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!! Oh Toogie, I can't imagine the feelings you must have had listening to her story. Lanie is wise beyond her years and please tell her I said so. I hope her insurance will cover most of the cost to replace her car. She sounds like a person who will overcome the lose of her car and go on to do wonderful things in her life. Hope the rain clears up and the sun comes out!! Bunches of hugs to you! Laura
I saw a brief glimpse of the sunshine this morning earlier. Not raining right now but overcast.
SCARY!!!! A huge hug and kudos to Lanie for saving her own life. I am so very sorry her car is totaled, but it can be replaced. Her life could not be replaced. And what a testimony to you and her parents for all of you raising smart kids.
I can feel your pain with all of the rain. We have been getting a lot too. A farmer friend of ours was telling my hubby that our grass is turning yellow because of lack of sunlight. Interesting! Please be careful and stay safe.
Reading your story made my stomach tight, I am so glad Laine is OK. You sure have had enough bad weather, hopefully good weather will arrive soon for you.
That is an amazing story Toogie and so glad that Lanie is o.k. It's amazing how quick flood waters happen and I'm so pleased she got out of the car when she did. We had a person drown here in flood waters as the electrics of the windows locked up and he couldn't get out against the pressure of the water. I do hope your flood waters go down soon. Much love to you all. Love Chris
That road is a much used highway but so much rain at once caused spots of flooding. I’m sure it has gone down there now and road opened back up.❤️
What a terrifying experience for her! She sounds like a very level headed girl. Shame on the state trooper who just looked and drove away.
So proud of her that she stayed level-headed and saved her own life, forget about the car. That's what insurance is for. She did all the right things, and I'm a bit ashamed of that officer turning away from her instead of coming to talk her through what had just happened. Give her a big hug and congratulations from me for being one smart cookie.
