Fabulous as always. I do not think I have ever had gumbo.
Thank you. You don’t know what you’re missing!-lol My husband loves it, I like it too but have to take antacids. I make a chicken/sausage gumbo not seafood as I’m allergic. I don’t know if it’s the roux, the smoked sausage or both that nearly kills me with indigestion.
Toot away, toogie! (I assume you will be laundering this prior to giving it away to a household that may not be properly vaccinated against chickenpox.)
Yes, especially when I have a fabric with red in it. I wash with a color catcher sheet. I won't be giving these until the first of Dec, IF we get to meet. I hope we do because with all of us shut in most of the year, we really have some quilts made.
Beautiful! You always have such interesting projects! Thank you too for the link. Have a wonderful week!
Thank you so much! I enjoy sewing and embroidery and quilting and…etc, etc I do like to sew something almost everyday, even if it is just a short time. I appreciate your comments and your looking.
Love, love, love this quilt. I love everything about it. The design, the fabric and backing. Well done.
Another idea for you if and when Cocoa allows you to quilt again. You need to sew up that ‘neighborhood’ fabric!😉you see I remembered your story. I usually can remember funny things-lo
Love your quilt and the strip in the back. Your seam is done in such a clever way, chapeau or hats off.
So glad you are somewhat better!
This is the first time I added a different piece in the back to increase the size but I really like the back, maybe more than the front. Thank you for remarking, I have already been honest to say, how I was proud of that matching seam. I surprised myself, lol, that it came out so unnoticeable.
Ah! these are simply stunning Toogie. I love the fun fabric and I know who ever receives this will just love it. Keep well and take it easy, love Chris
Love your quilts Toogie! So good to hear you are starting to feel better.
I love both the fabrics you used and the designs!
Love your quilt! and hope you get better each day. Praying for your healing. 🙏😊
It's good to hear you are having some relief from the pain. Love these 2 quilts. You are so creative being able to turn the fabrics into 2 fun quilts kids will love. Don't be afraid to call the doctor and discuss the medication. He/she may be able to adjust the timing or even prescribe something else. I hate to hear you still suffer if there is something that can be done.
I thought of calling and seeing if he could lower the mg, but my filled prescription has 90 and they are capsules so I can’t halve them. I’m not sure my insurance will pay for more right now.
This is the same quilt K, it’s the front & back. I will try to upload & post the other one off of Jenny Doan’s tut. Thanks
Gosh Toogie, in the middle of shingles you are making quilts. Presumably your feeling somewhat better. Love what you have created
Thanks C, I had pieced the tops when I was first getting the itching and kinda feeling off. The day we (hubby and I) layered them I really had to be persuaded because I could have just crawled in the bed. -lol- he helped me pin them together on the table since they were small, I didn’t have to crawl around on the floor.
I felt better yesterday and today but late evening yesterday the itch and the pain started again. I took the nerve pain med and when it started to relieve me I went to sleep. I gonna just try taking it at night, as long as I can tolerate the day without.
Glad you like this one. I need to load the other one too.
I so agree with jenne, the back is so creative and different and unexpected. Love the total result.
