Vicky asked me if we had added a third kitten. I realized I hadn't explained how that happened to my Cutie friends. Here is what I answered her on Facebook. ----- We did get a third Ragdoll. Kind of by accident. The breeder had an injured kitten (same parents as our little girl from a new litter) and we told her we would adopt him. In spite of his injury he was making great progress. He was a little brave soul. We were not sure how it would all work out, but we were all set to introduce a new injured kitten to the 6 month old , rough and tumble kittens. We got a playpen set up his place to protect him while everyone adjusted. We were already loving this little guy that would be ours and adjusting to the idea of adding another kitty to our family. We had one week to go until he would be old enough. But. . .the breeder called to tell us the mother of the kitten had attacked him, and we decided to go get him that day. (Clear over in Boulder 2.5 hour drive.) He was just 7 weeks old. We were determined to give him all the loving care he would need. Then when we were on the way she called and told us the little kitten had died. We were heartbroken, and she was too and offered another kitten to us. So.... we went the rest of the way and brought home his brother. We're still sad about the little injured kitten. Probably it was a mistake to bring home a third. But, now, three weeks later, after doing lots to integrate him, this little guy has been accepted by the older two and has totally embedded himself in our hearts. He is a little joy and has no idea he is much smaller than the older kittens. He pounces on them! We are thrilled now to have three. We named him Leo Lionheart in honor of his brother who was such a fighter. He too is one brave little guy. The only thing better than one Ragdoll is two Ragdolls and the only thing better than two Ragdolls...
Love your feline family. what super names, Leo Lionheart, Rocky Poppy and Jenni-Lee. You are very brave to have three kittens at once.
Oh, triple cuteness! Wish I could pop in and give them all a cuddle. They are all beautiful.
