Great Quilt, love the quilting. I have watched videos on how to do edge to edge and still unable to figure how to match up the continuous design without a laser light. My biggest hoop is 6x10. I am getting ready to do another quilt in the hoop. Any tips or suggestions will be appreciated.
I solved that problem by forwarding 1 stitch which puts the needle in start position. Then I lined it up with the quilt starting point and hoop. Having a magnetic hoop really helps. I also leave little strips of medical tape at the end so I do not have to search for the connection. Make sure you have enough fabric on the sides to be able to complete the design if necessary.
I am just learning/figuring out how to do the edge to edge.I have done 2 small quilts and though far from perfect they did turn out better than my free motion ones so will keep at it. Yours looks great. The friend who helped me said use the largest hoop you have but she only used the bottom frame(the one that slides onto the machine) then clamps her quilt in tightly with binder clamps. that made lining things up easier than trying to hoop it accurately. If we're allowed to say I used designs from Designs by Juju and they stitched out nicely.
What was the edge to edge called and from where ?Love it hugsxxx
Carol I explained it 2 post below. You can see a YouTube how it works. Basically they are embroidery files of different quilting themes. Best to have a large frame. If you need more help let me know
Sorry I miss understood. This pattern is on expansion pack 3 and is called "boxes"
ok i got it thanks:):) Love her designs .This year yet she is going to do borders only. Can't wait to see that one hugs xx
I love your design! It has simple blocks but the way you put them together they are really interesting. Love it
Love it! Love the quilt too!
Where did you get the pattern for the edge to edge?
Google "Amelia Scott Edge to Edge quilt patterns" and you will be able to purchase them at different places including Amazon. It is best if you have a larger embroidery hoop
I love your pattern and the colors! You did a wonderful job. Tonya
Wau, sieht super aus und nach mächtig viel Arbeit- toll, liebe Grüße Maria
Stunning!!! Did a Great job..Beautiful Quilt!!!!
Love your quilting stitch pattern. So modern, little boxes.
Oh, my so very beautiful! The edge to edge quilting is perfect - well done! Hugs!!!
What a beautiful and classy quilt! You certainly showed your creativity with this quilting. And I agree with Toogie, Cocoa must have had a very long sleep while you managed to do this stitching.
Coco is starting to enjoy being with me in my sewing room. She also has outgrown that puppy stage. I do not have to have her constantly in my sight.
Angie this is beautiful, love your colour choices and congratulations on the quilting, it must have taken a long time
Thank you. I have a large magnetic hoop and it went faster then I thought
Well done Angie, I don't quilt my quilts - I send them to a Professional quilter and she uses a long arm. Love Chris
Since I mostly sew quilts for charity the charge is too high to send them out. This one was for a friend of mine and she did not mind me practicing using the edge to edge method.
Looks great! I’m not sure how you accomplished this but quilting looks good. Cocoa must have taken a long nap-lol
