That's so classy, I love it!
Hugs, Lidia
Thank you, Lidia!! To describe it as classy is sweet! Hugs to you, Laura
She will absolutely love it. You have done a magnificent job Laura
Oh, Sarah, that is too kind! I was nervous to do it - so, I am relieved that it came out as good as it did!! I still have hankies to make and I am doing napkins ring holders for the reception. Thanks again and hugs to you!!
Lovely Laura! What a wedding it will be, made more special by you and I do hope you share some photos. Excellent! I was going to ask if you made the entredeau or hem stitch( can’t tell on phone,)yourself but I’ve now read it was a blank you purchased. Either way, you’ve made it beautiful!
Toogie, thanks so much. In order to get this much stitching done - I did have to take it apart. I did my best not to have any puckers! My new Machine did not like a thinner thread, drove me silly trying to make that work on a sample - so I embroidered this using regular embroidery thread and it worked just fine. Lucky, I guess! Thanks again, Laura
So lovely. I'm sure the wedding will be also. So sad that Grandmother can no longer be there.
Thank you so much. It is sad - her whole family just came in for the funeral. Very sad time. Hugs!
Sometimes my computer acts up and I do not see images but I am seeing yours today too--guessing whodoo goes on sometimes on my computer-anyways you pillow is so lovely and I thought, what a lovely idea to stitch out the hankie for her grandmother--a beautiful keepsake for sure-it will remind her Grandma is there watching over. Beautiful.
Thank you, Patti! I haven't given her the hankie yet - I'll wait a bit. Thank you again and hugs!!
Gorgeous! Great work on this beautiful pillow. Sorry to hear about the Grandmother.
Thank you so much, Suzanna! Caitlin was very close to her Grandmother - her passing was sudden and unexpected. Hugs to you!!
What a beautiful pillow for the ringbearer to carry. i know this will be a treasured heirloom. I love graceandham's suggestion too.
Thank you - thank you, Karen! I like her suggestion too! Hope you are continuing to feel better every day! Hugs!
Looks noble, perfect for the big day, well done Laura, hugs Maria
Only one comment. PERFECT!
Well, not perfect - but, thank you so much!! I was worried about this project, but, I learned a lot doing it!! Hugs to you and Happy Birthday, Angie!! Laura
From what I can see in the photos in the general Projects, your pillow looks stunning...Unfortunately I do not get any images above to take a closer look... I am sure your daughter in law will love it and so sorry to hear about her grandmother...
I got a text back from her and she does love it. Her Grandma was to attend the wedding. I have my design all made up to stitch a hankie for "Grandmother of the Bride" - I still may stitch it - perhaps Caitlin might like to carry it in her bouquet. Thanks for your kind words! Hugs!
Oh, I can finally see the pictures here and can enlarge them...I love the font you chose...did you make the pillow with the hemstitching or was it a purchased blank that you embroidered on?
That pillow casing was a blank that I purchased. I took it apart in order to embroider on it.
Bravo. What a lovely font you chose for those particular letters. When they have a newborn in a few years, prop him or her up on the pillow and take pictures. It will make for a good story.
Betsey, what an awesome idea!! I need to take out the fill and give it another good press. Funny, I didn't notice it before I took the pictures!! Thanks for your cute idea! Hugs!
You've done an awesome job Laura, it looks gorgeous. Love Chris
Thank you, Chris - that means a bunch to me! Why are some projects more nerve wracking than others? Thanks again, hugs, Laura
It’s beautiful, and she will love it!!! I also like the hem stitching around the pillow. That gives it an heirloom look. Really lovely!
Gosh, I hope she does. Her grandmother passed away yesterday and Caitlin is feeling so sad. I just sent her a picture of the pillow. Hope it makes her smile. Thank you!!!
