With my. first machine it was a huge stretch for me to buy any sewing. machine, let alone an embroidery machine, and I knew nothing. - nothing! I bought my ULT. 2003 on eBay! What. a mistake, it was missing feet and the whole tool set. Nothing. worked. smoothly. Finally, I had it fixed at the. Brother store and.then I was able to buy their service policy. It turned. out to be a great. machine, but not until I had it serviced at exactly the place. I should. have. bought it in the first place.
HI Caroline, I agree wholeheartedly with you and only buy from dealers of my machines.
Congratulations, I know you will enjoy your new machine and you'll have many wonderful hours of fun creating beautiful work. Love Chris
I am so happy for you getting a new machine and totally agree with you about getting it from a dealer.
Ha ha that goes for Yarn Shops also. I can not count how many times someone came into my shop with yarns purchased from the large retail companies and needed help with the pattern, dropped stitches etc
Thanks Angie. My knowledge of knitting wool is very limited. I'm not a knitter
Congrats to you and your new machine. That will be a wonderful day for you, I am sure. I agree that our dealers and our special folks who keep our machines in great working order are among the most special people in our lives. And add the lessons they teach us and I cannot understand why anyone would buy from anyone but a dealer.
Thanks Karen. I know many buy thinking of the pocket not afterwards. I do have a man locally who repairs but ... My dealer is at the end of the phone and gives great support
I so agree. I have a very kind, friendly, more than fair dealer who is an excellent repair man. The only unkindness I know of from him is when his "regular" customers come in with the $99 embroidering special from Walmart that has torn up in two months. They want him to repair it. He tells them sorry, it is not a machine we can work on. They had previously been to his store, looked at his machine, and chose the cheap way. He suggests they take it to the repairman at the store where they purchased it, that he's sure they will "stand behind their product." WOW!
Thanks Betsy. My dealer makes the same comments to cheap machines. He is so busy at the moment that he now only services machines that have been bought from him. One way of getting round the problem.
