Wowzer! Love the style! I hope that roof is facing south and is full of solar panels. Oops that would be north. Lol!
This home is simply beautiful! They did such a wonderful job designing what they wanted - Oh, my I truly envy that pool! Can you just imagine how extra beautiful the house will be decorated for the holidays!! Thanks for sharing and bunch of hugs to you Chris!! Laura
Yes, it is beautiful and so light and airy. I think they'll find it hot during summer with all those skylights though, but they have air conditioning too and lots of air flow. Amy has put the Christmas tree up in the corner of their lounge room and it looks lovely. Love Chris
Really swoozie and my favorite thing is still that floating staircase! Shakespeare would say, all's well that ends well. Congratulations all the way around for all the reasons everyone is celebrating. I think you should wait a few months and tell her you're coming to live with them while you re-do your house. Do you swim? That pool will be a luxury item.
Thanks Betsey, I love the staircase too, but don't like going up and down them so much. I was up there so many times whilst we were moving things in. I love swimming, and intend to be in there a lot during our summer. Love Chris
It's so beautiful! Everyone will feel like they have tons of space! So glad you made it through the 13 months without going BATTTY
Chris it's a lovely home with some beautiful and unique features I would guess hundreds of hours were spent planning it all. I'm sure they will all build some wonderful new memories to add to their treasure chest.
Wishing you all a happy and joyous Christmas.
Lynne
Hi Lynne, yes, it's been their dream for the past few years. Months of planning and getting approval from the Newcastle City Council, then builders and getting things organised. We had torrential rain at the beginning of this year, Covid issues, sickness of the tradies etc. etc. etc. Building a new home always has issues!!!!! Thanks for your Christmas wishes. The same to you too, love Chris
Beautiful home....may they have a wonderful life there, and many memories.
Wishing them many many hours of happiness. I bet everyone is happy to have their own space
Oh my!!!! What a beautiful home they have created. They can now add a lifetime of memories of living to their catalog of building memories. And now I understand why you have been so quiet the past couple of weeks. I know you are all going to quickly adjust to your new lives and have a very Merry Christmas.
Hi Karen, it's been crazy here and what with me trying to finish my quilt, looking after Mum and trying to keep our place 'tidy' as possible, it's been hectic. Trev and I are off to Melbourn, Victoria tomorrow for a 5 day break. Looking forward to it. Love Chris
I imagine they are thrilled to be moving into their new home...very interesting architecture...
Thanks Kim, yes, this home was Architecturally made along with Steve's assistance. He works in the housing industry and has taken ideas from all over. Love Chris
Wow so beautiful indeed!!! We wish them the best in their new home!!! It is going to be very quiet in your house after they move back... Love the pictures thanks for sharing. Suzanne
Yes, Suzanne, it's quiet here this morning, with gentle rain falling on our rooftop. Love Chris
What a beautiful home! I wish them happiness always here.
I agree with all Nan said,Wow! Love the wood!!! Love the light all the glass will provide but sure wouldn't wanna clean it! -lol- A beautiful home indeed. I know you all will be happy to settle in your own homes again. I wish Amy, Steve and the girls much happiness in their new home-Toogie
Thanks Toogie, Trev actually came up the stairs this morning and said -
"How good is it to sleep in my own bed again!!!"
The house is lovely and quiet once again. The kids are ecstatic to finally be in their new home. Love Chris
