I am sure you will have a lovely Christmas with Amy and family. Hope your Mum has a nice day.
I have been watching the numbers rise in Newcastle. it is so bad when one stupid person does the wrong thing and how it has affected so many more. We have been lucky here in Tassie but I don't think it will be long before someone brings it in. I have just been out and done my last Pressie buying am glad to be back home where I feel safe.
We are having Christmas with our daughter and she cooks a lovely meal. I am taking a pavlova like I did last year. Hope to have enough of our home grown strawberries to put on top.
Merry Christmas to all.
A very Merry Christmas to you and your family too. I'm glad you are able to slow down and will enjoy the day of Jesus' birth with your family in the beautiful new home. Congrats on soon acquiring a new machine too.
Thanks Karen, yes, it will be lovely to celebrate it this year. I was at Parish Council yesterday and we said goodbye to our Priest from the Belmont church as she is retiring in January. We have an interim Priest who will be filling in for her until we can get a full time person. We already said goodbye to the Priest from the Windale church and they have an interim person there too.
I'm off to see Maarten tomorrow (Friday) to discuss the new Husqvarna Ruby 90! I'm looking forward to seeing it in action! Love Chris
I am sorry that you are being bombarded again with the new variant of Covid. I think we are all in the same boat. We are desperately waiting to hear when we will be getting our boosters. The good news is, that as things are looking now, we might even be able to get to Europe next year to see the family. This will be our very first Christmas alone. It is going to feel very strange.
A very happy Christmas to the Pennifold’s and family, especially your mum.
Thanks Sarah, yes, we are hoping to travel to Europe next September. We have paid for our flights and booked accommodation in Switzerland, Italy and Germany. We have yet to book for England, Scotland, the Netherlands etc. We intend going away for 6 weeks, hopefully by September/October next year things will have settled down and more overseas travelling will be opened up.
Merry Christmas to you and your families too. Love Chris
Merry Christmas Chris and family... COID has been hard everywhere. Yes lots of us obey the rules but it is the ones who don't that keep this virus going. Sad for the loss of lives too.. Hopefully next year will be better. .
Hope you enjoy Christmas at the new house. IT is beautiful...
HUGS to everyone!! Hope Mum is doing OK too. Extra hug for you... Suzanne
Thanks Suzanne, yes, I think we will be living with this virus for ever!!!
I can't wait to have Christmas with Amy and family and Mum is coming too. She gets more forgetful day by day. I just go with the flow. Love Chris
Merry Christmas, Chris!!! So sorry to hear of the Covid outbreak in Newcastle. Australia has done such a good job trying to keep their people safe. Life has certainly changed for most everyone in the world because of Covid! The loss of life has been horrendous. Enough of my rant too!! We will be with our daughter and her family for Christmas too. It will be a fun visit. I agree - lets have a wonderful 2022! I'm ready!! Bunches of hugs! Laura
That's great that you will be with your daughter too for Christmas, I can't wait. These past couple of months have flown by.
I'm going to be getting a new Husqvarna sewing machine in the New Year. Off to see my Husqvarna shop on Friday to talk about trading in my Brother Quattro to get the new
Designer Ruby tm 90!! Love Chris
We have doctors here taking out newspaper ads saying how tired all the medical staff are and begging people to take responsibility for their health. So sorry you guys have been hit by this awful disease.
It's another sobering Christmas here. We had our All Saints Day celebration and acknowledged the passing of 49 members in our church in the past 12 months. I used to love the All Saints service, the singing of "For All the Saints" and the remembrance that they are still among us in many ways, most especially at communion. This year it was just tough. A blessed Advent and Christmas to you and yours and so glad you get to not be the main cook. Whew! That's almost gift enough, right?
Oh! dear Betsey, 49 members who died in your church alone is heartbreaking. I too love the All Saints service, that is the name of my church in Belmont, where I will be attending once our church ends at Belmont North, sometime before June next year.
You are right about not having to cook, yippee!! Love Chris
