Hi Toogie and merry Christmas to you and the family. So sorry to read about all the sickness, it's got to get better, doesn't it?
We were very fortunate in that we got to see all our family and today I'm off to church in an hour to celebrate this blessed season. I went to midnight mass on Friday night, which was sad as it was the last time Christmas would be celebrated in the Redhead Anglican church, as it is going to have its last service in February 2022. My church will most probably finish in June. Then I have to choose where to go for regular service. God bless you and yours, love Chris
A nephew’s family had to find another church when they lost their pastor to Covid.
Glad you saw your family for Christmas.
I’ve already took my tree down.
Gosh, you are certainly inundated with a lot of people in your family being sick, especially when this is the time of year to celebrate. But you are right. Making the best of whatever life sends our way is a good way to live our life.
It is such a crazy time. Even more reason to remember what this holiday is all about and find strength in it. Your family has had it's shares of ups and downs and like you said, when it rains....... Praying for a little bit more normalcy and healing. Hugs to you
Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas. I understand how different the holidays have become. I pray all your family recovers. Flowers and hugs, Suzanna
Oh Toogie, so much sadness on this special day of joy celebrating our dear Savior's birth. I hope and pray your loved ones all recover soon. And may there be enough love and laughter to heal some of the wounds this crazy year has brought to you. Love and many cyber hugs back to you.
We had a great day being together. Kids have a way of making you forget any troubles. Hope you had a blessed Christmas!
Toogie, I will say some prayers for your family and you. Knowing that your family is in your thoughts, prayers and heart will help. God Bless and Merry Christmas!
I hope those of you who can gather will have a sense of joy, togetherness, and FULL TUMMIES (contentment). Sending you a P.M.
Hi Toogie from the other side of the large piece of water that separates us. Its bedtime for the grandchildren and I am just doing some uninterrupted cooking. I am staying with my grand daughters, their other grandmother has been admitted to hospital today. Grandsons uncle has been tested positive today. A son in law busy working. Familiar story to yours, plus the tummy bug earlier in the week. Happy Christmas dear to you and yours.
Sadly, we all can relate. Does the other grandmother have Covid or ‘something’ else?
Pies and candies made- meats are stuffed or prepared in fridge ready for oven or stovetop in the morning. The coleslaw & dressing made but Broccoli salad will mix up in morning. The girls are bringing the side vegetables or casseroles. Hoping to still be able to have some sort of Christmas. ❤️T
Christmas in Wales will be more normal than last year when we sat outside in the evening in almost freezing conditions as younger daughter decided at 5 pm to visit as restrictions on travel were lifted for the day. She spent half an hour with her mother in law outside and then we spent 3 hours outside in the almost freezing cold chatting as inside visits were not allowed. She then set off for home just before midnight. It was magical, we hadnt met for 3 months and it was another 3 months before we met again.
The mother in law has just moved and now she is in England, different hospital and they have no medical history. UK hospitals are notorious for not doing much intervention apart from the basics at weekends and holidays. Its thought she probably has pneumonia. Your food sounds great and were eating turkey. Cx
It’s warm here and going to be 79 during day tomorrow so some will be able to get outside.
