Suzanna, so happy to hear you didn't have Covid. It is sad that when we even get the sniffles, we automatically have to think we might infect others! You did the right things though - we would have cancelled a get together under the same circumstances! Feel better! Bunches of hugs to you, Laura
Oh my goodness, Suzanna......so sorry to hear you were unwell and thank God it is not covid!! Your displays here are gorgeous....
Thank you! I love my new decorations. I shopped a local small business this year.
Sorry to hear this, Suzanna...hope you feel better soon!
Hope you are better now.. Same thing happed to me.. Also got My 3 vaccines; but last week, not really sick; I do had a cold and probs with my nose. Now 3 days later.. everything fine again.
I’m glad you’re feeling better. We know all our vaccines can’t keep us from contracting virus but it sure seems to lessen the severity and also could mean the difference of life or death, as in our friends cases.
Thank you! Today (Monday) still not up to par. I am so glad I got the vaccines.
Oh! Suzanna, I am so sorry to read this. I do pray that you get better quickly and that you don't get worse. We were very fortunate in that we got to see all our family over Friday and Saturday. It is now Boxing Day here in Australia and I'm just about to go have a shower and get ready for church. I'm reading today, no shops open for our coffee after, so hope to get a cuppa at Church. I do hope you will get to celebrate with your family soon. Love Chris
Thank you Chris! I am getting better. I hope you get your coffee after church. Family will celebrate at a later date.
I am so sorry for you, hope you recover soon. you didn't celebrate Christmas, but I hope you will be recovered and be able to celebrate the new year. take care, and take time to rest and to heal, big hug )))
Thank you Gerry! Today, Sunday, I am feeling better, not over it all yet but hopefully soon.
Hi Susanna. I, too, am spending Christmas alone. Both sons had high potential exposures this week, and I can't risk it with my health issues. So sorry you are sick and not a lot of help for it till after the holiday. Because I am having such a quiet week, I have caught up on some of my reading - finished 3 books, but I always keep several going. Last night I looked around on my computer and found Lessons and Carols Services at several churches where I have spent Christmases in the past, so I felt that good feeling of kindred spirits and Christian comfort. It helped with the wish for homecoming we get at Christmas. Then I topped it off with the pope's Christmas Eve service until I fell asleep. Who knew, it's not such a bad thing to ease off to sleep in church, if nobody sees it and teases you. Since Thanksgiving I've been trying to count my blessings and then actually write them down. Each one seems to start with a name! One of the books was on Sabbath rest and I have been trying to apply those ideas to my Christmas, so I get something out of a very weird year topped by a weird Christmas day. God bless your day and may you soon feel better.
Thank you Betsey! Unfortunately I slept through any TV Christmas services. I like the idea of counting blessings and writing them down. I pray your family recovers and you will see them soon.
I am so sorry reading that you are not feeling well. This will be a Christmas that will be remembered. All my great grands are sick and my grandson could not find a place to get tested yesterday. Getting together is out of the question.
I hope and pray that you will be feeling better soon. Rest and take care of yourself. Wishing you the best for the coming new year and hopefully you will still be able to to enjoy some of Christmas.
Thank you Angie. Last year no family Christmas celebration either. I was so hoping this year would be better. Rest, yes I did rest and hydrate.
I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling so sick and now have wait until Monday to get any help. My only advice to you, is if you start having difficulty breathing to get to an Emergency Room. It's a terrible way to have to spend our Savior's birth day. I do hope and will pray that you start to feel better before Monday. And in the meantime, rest and stay hydrated and rest some more. And thanks for this beautiful picture you shared with us.
Thank you Karen, great advice. So far no breathing problem and I still have taste and smell still having chills and temp is going down. I decided to have a different tree this year and I also got a beautiful Nativity scene. I am planning on keeping the tree and Nativity scene up all year.
