I have reached a milestone today. I left the quarantine room I had spent 11 days surviving covid pneumonia one year ago. It has been a year of working hard to get back to normal. My new normal is very different than it was 13 months ago, but I am glad to be alive and very grateful to have a handsome hubby who has had to pick a whole lot of things I can no longer do. And he keeps reassuring me he doesn't mind the extra work, he's very grateful I am a survivor. So again, I want to thank each and every one who prayed for me while I was fighting to survive and then for the months while I was working hard to get back on my feet. Please continue to pray for all of the folks who care for the victims of covid pneumonia, and pray that the bickering of the people who are making the decisions on the proper medical treatments will make the decisions that will save lives. My prayers are that we no longer live in fear and anger because of this virus that has been unleashed on the world. That healing, both physical as well as emotional and psychological will begin.

Karen, you should write down the date and always celebrate it just like a birthday, anniversary or Christmas. It was a privilege to pray for you (and continue) for your health and happiness. Very few happy things about Covid days, but two big rewards for me: I have done the Life Sort and I have a much deeper, broader prayer life and belief. However, it will be a long while before I can get closer than 6-8 feet to anyone! (Scairdy cat or just very realistic about my health status?) I am still pretty much at home.

You are so strong! What a wonderful post to hear how much of a fighter that you are! I am so sorry you had to go through it all! I pray so hard with you that we can stop living in fear and stop being pitted against our family, friends and neighbors over who got the shot or who wears masks and who does not! Everyone MUST choose for themselves and for their families what is best for them and respect others who chose different paths for themselves! It has been over 2 years now of deaths heartbreak and SEVERE loneliness for so many! Funerals not attended births not attended suicide rates that are NOT acceptable not one life lost is acceptable! We must focus on we are all human not carbon copies of each other and that makes us all unique! I am sending prayers and well wishes to ALL around the world!

Today is your re-birth day! Congratulations on beating that nasty bug! We are so lucky to have you with us. I'm joining in your prayer that healing from this virus would continue and and our world would return to begin to heal from all that has transpired because of it.

So happy that you have reached this milestone!! I agree so strongly with the rest of your post. I have some young (4-8yr old) grands who show the upsetting, worrying side of all this. Prayers that our world can turn back to our faith in God to bring us thru all this and be much stronger and friendlier!
