You are an amazing woman and has everything you need to persevere. I think of you often and send prayers and good wishes your way. If you ever run out of quilts to do, I have one I am struggling with.
Nothing amazing about me, but I do thank you for the prayers. I have 3 quilts going at once. One is pinned and ready to quilt. One has blocks waiting for sashing and the third, I’m still making the blocks. What’s giving you trouble with yours? I don’t know if I can guide you through, but if I know how, I’ll try to help. I am sure there are other Cuties here better than me at piecing and quilting, as I really just started almost 3 years ago. Gosh, I didn’t realize it has been that long😄 we all need to help each other. So let us know your step you’re struggling with. If I don’t have an answer someone else might.
Thank you toogie, I will try to get things together so I can figure out where to go from here.
I was so saddened to hear about Sue...all my love and prayers to you and your family. I hope your time with Avery worked out. Things do have a way of working out. Take some time to breathe and do take care of yourself...
Thank you K, I am ok and now my back is getting better again. The day with Avery went well.❤️
I am so sorry about your sister. Prayers for you and your family.
Toogie, I want to thank you so much for your efforts of going through your Sew Beautiful magazines to try to find the Lyn Weeks Frannie pattern. You have gone far beyond what i expected. Shows what a wonderful, caring person you are!
I will continue to search for the pattern. The astronomical prices on Ebay are totally ridiculous. If I do find it, I would gladly share with others that are looking for it, not try to rip someone off. Keep sharing your beautiful work. Don't know how you do it all!
Hi Toogie, sorry my friend. I've had our 3 grandsons staying the weekend and we were all ultra busy, so didn't get a chance to pop on here.
My thoughts have been with you since Sue died and I'm pleased to read that you are getting some rest now. Time of course is a great healer and it's lovely to go back in our memories and remember special times spent with family members. On that note I do hope your husband gets up and moving about once he starts up that new table saw. I'm sure you will have some jobs lined up for him, besides a new ramp.
I bet it was lovely having Avery visit, she is such a special girl and I know how much she means to you all. Your grands are growing up so fast, can't believe that Nora is playing the piano so well. Ophelie has a keyboard, but hardly touches it. I wish she played it more, but unfortunately hand held devices seem to be the thing that kids are going to these days.
Keep well my friend and I am looking forward to seeing that lovely quilt you started. Thinking of you across the miles (kilometres!!) Love Chris
Thank you Chris. I know even as busy as you are you still think of Cuties. I can always count on you for prayers and support. Unfortunately the quilt is on hold. I am having back problems again and am on my Tens unit as I write. Hopefully it will get better with all I’m doing for it and I won’t have to go to the doctor again. I thought Sue’s son Chuck was coming by Saturday, but he text me it was going to be a short trip, so I guess that meant he would only have time to go to his dads. I had bought Sue a CD player and left my Alan Jackson cd of hymnals when I went to visit her so sick. I really think she heard the music because hubby & I both thought we saw a response and later a tear in her eyes. She loved music and I tried to buy her this cd when I bought the player, but they didn’t have one. I asked Chuck if he didn’t want the cd could I have it. He could keep the player but I really liked that cd, so he told me it would be a good excuse to come by. I guess it will be next trip down, because he didn’t make it here. I’m glad the kids are interested in playing music. I also wish I knew how to send the video of her playing so you could listen. She really has improved on the piano. I also wish she would practice on the fiddle/violin. She is so busy with other school and other activities, I guess she doesn’t have time. It’s pretty and sunny today. I don’t think it’s as cold as yesterday because the wind has died down. Hope your day is nice. I suppose the 3 boys are Bens, and I hope they haven’t worn you & Trevor out. ❤️Toogie
Toogie, Hope your day went well with family. Know we are all here praying for you. Hugs, Tonya
Thank you Tonya, I really appreciate the prayers.
My day went well, no emergency episodes with Avery. She was fussy but eventually took a nap. Gus and Nora enjoyed the reenactment. The people were dressed in period costumes and interacted with them. Nora danced the dances of that time with them. Of course when they returned she had to perform the dance again with her mom and show us pictures of her dancing with the group. They were tired but had a good time learning history.
So pleased that things are sorting themselves out. I am sure that you will manage Avery but I am also sure it must be a worry for you. Take care Toogie and look after yourself.
Thank you Sarah, for your concern. I’m okay and yesterday with Avery was great, no medical concerns, but Grayson did bring her suction pump. Knowing I had it, if needed, gave me some peace. Hope all your family (Josh) are well.❤️
Sometimes I am frustrated trying to put things into words. I am not good at it. So if I was close I would give you the biggest hug. 💖💖💖
Oh I feel your squeeze-lol😉😂
Sometimes words aren’t necessary between friends, just knowing you’re here and only a phone call away. You are better than me about calling.😉
I hope the safety and surrounding love that you have formed in your family, now comes together to support you. You are amazing.
I’m not sure about that but I know the family would come if I called. Grayson has just said let him know when Hubby rebuilds the long ramp, he will come help. Thanks for your support too. I appreciate it.
I know the feeling of loosing a sibling - it isn't easy. I send you lots of hugs and love. These have been a few very tough years for just about everyone in the world. In time Toogie, you will begin to feel like your self again. Enjoy your day with Avery - I know she will put an extra smile on your face and let us know what your hubby makes with his new saw!!! Hugs, Laura
We all have projects in mind to occupy hubby’s time, even Gus. He wants a cupboard like on the movie The Indian in a Cupboard. Ashley said she TOLD him his figure won’t come to life, so he may be disappointed in the cupboard.-lol
Avery was fine yesterday, she seemed glad to be here.
I remember when you lost your brother. I never had a brother but you’re right it’s not easy losing a sibling. My hubby lost two last year, one in March and another in April.
Sue’s son just text me. He’s coming in to his dad’s today and he may come by. We really don’t have ‘visitors’ but can’t refuse her son. Yesterday was the first time Ashley and family has been here since Christmas. Covid sure has controlled people’s lives. Anyway we are glad to see them when we can.
Take care and I appreciate the love & hugs, right back at ‘ya!
Good to see you again here on Cute. I don't blame you for having the concerns about Sheila being so far away and taking care of Avery. And as you said, it will all work out. I hope you share some of the projects your handsome hubby manages to work on. My hubby has been working on our 24 foot travel trailer we hope to take out soon. Now go enjoy your time with Avery. She is such a beautiful gift from God. And know we are all sharing your grief, so you do not have to carry it all alone.
You always know just what to say, so thank you. I actually must have felt better, after posting this, because I woke myself up this morning laughing in my sleep. I’ll make that another post later. What I put my poor parents through!-lol
