Very cute way of putting it! She is on the loose and won't be caught again! Congratulations to Chris on her busy schedule. Hugs, Suzanna
People here show their lack of education by NOT quarantining, and we only find out they are sick when they are so sick they go to the hospital and/or die. I feel like the Lone Ranger (a tv cowboy) for being one of very few who wears a mask here. My son works in a place that never took the mask rules seriously, so he brought the Covid home to his brother, who went to the hospital with it. I'm so tired of it all. I still feel I can't be out and about because my state has such a low vaccine and booster rate.
Thanks for your reply. Masks have been mandatory. In Wales, UK they are still worn in shops and public transport. Not quite sure what the latest on isolating when positive here at the moment but no longer compulsory in England. Ah looked this up and at the end of the month masks and isolation will cease BUT its hoped that those who do become positive do isolate. I have had 3 lots of vaccinations and the take up rate has been very good at 87% in Wales though there are those who choose not to. Hospital admissions are lower and vaccinations have helped enormously. Think we all have been affected in different ways and to think how life has changed in two years...
Betsy this is one of the parts of Cute that I love that we are looking out for each other though continents away. Is quarantine still happening in your bit of the Universe? I was hoping that Chris didnt teat positive on her last day of isolating. Thank goodness it didnt
I'm glad to see Chris has been "sprung from jail". It has to feel wonderful to be out and about and back to taking care of her Mum and the dog. Stay healthy and no more scares please.
Hi Betsey, funny you should say that. I've been out since Tuesday and today. I had to buy some bias binding yesterday though for my new Navy, White and Lemon quilt (I picked it up yesterday from my quilter).
This morning I took Mum out to get her pills organised from the chemist. I bought her a Tablet Timer, so she can't tamper with or overdose on her meds and the chemist puts the month's worth in it for me.
Then she wanted some doggie wee pads. Her dog 'pees' on a pad in the garage, Mum doesn't like her getting dirty, she's a white dog!! Whenever I arrive I open the garage door and let her run outside in the garden and she loves it. Rolling over and over in the grass and if she gets wet, I just wipe her down. Poor Mum just doesn't do anything with her, but cuts away the hair from her face and puts Johnson and Johnson baby Powder on her to make her smell lovely. I keep telling her, "Mum, she's a dog and loves to get grubby, all you have to do is wait till she's a bit dry and rub her down". Unfortunately it goes in one ear and out the other.
Tomorrow she has a carer coming for lunch with her and a chat. I've got my nails being done at 9.00 and then Italian class (more of a chat session with my 7 friends) at 1-4.
Saturday we are all finally getting together for our 50th wedding anniversary luncheon. We'll pick Mum up at 11.30 and the booking is for 12.00 and there will be 19 of us. Then on Sunday church and I'm doing the prayers and boy is there a lot to pray for.
Anyway, I'm free and so happy to see some sunshine for a while. It's now Autumn and I'm feeling better about the cooler days. Love Chris
The sun & blue sky made a appearance today & yesterday & if she is like me ,she is making the most of it.
Noticed our leather lounge & teak furniture is going mouldy.
