Hi Cuties, I've got my quilt back from the quilters yeah!

I went to Spotlight (our local fabric shop etc.) to buy some wide navy bias binding. There were 4 packs there with 3 metres per pack, I stood there looking at it and thought I'd need 3, but just in case I bought 4.

When I came home I've pinned the 3 packs on it and would you believe I'm short by about 40cm! So I'm glad I bought that extra 4th packet. Sometime over the weekend I'll hopefully finish it off.

We are finally getting together with all the family tomorrow for our 50th wedding anniversary celebrations and it's promising to be a gorgeous day, after all the rain we've had over the past 2 weeks. We are fine, it basically missed Newcastle and where we live in Jewells, no damage at all.

I'm having my nails done today and no doubt I'll have black and silver nail polish put on them, I do love black and silver together. I then have Italian with 7 of my friends from 1-4 and then later this afternoon I'm collecting a Pew from the Redhead Church, as everything is being sold that isn't nailed down.

Tomorrow I'll go to Mum's to make sure her hair looks good for our luncheon and then it's the luncheon at 12.00 at Brown Sugar down at Warners Bay. It's a lovely restaurant on the Esplanade that looks out over the lake.

Sunday will be church (for me and Mum and I'm doing the readings for the day) at my church which is only 6 houses away from me and then a coffee at our local coffee shop. A full weekend ahead. Hoping everyone is well, love Chris

So wonderful that you will be able to celebrate your 50th Wedding Anniversary! I know it has been hard to get together with Covid and all. Sounds like it will be a long weekend celebration! Hugs to you and yours!!! Laura

A very happy 50th to you and Trevor. I think you have a whole year to celebrate so keep celebrating. I'm glad you are up out and as usual running a full schedule to boot. Hoping we get to see pictures too.

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary for tomorrow.
Sounds like a busy weekend for you and your family.
Looking forward to seeing your quilt. Sure was lucky you bought that extra bias binding. As my Mother used to say "better to have it and not want it than to want it and not have it."
Good to hear you missed all that bad weather. So sorry for all the ones that have lost homes and their lively hood.

Hi Shirley, thanks for the good wishes. Our actual anniversary was the 22/01/22, but what with some of the family having Covid we had to cancel, basically twice. So tomorrow is the 3rd time! Love Chris

Sorry you have had to cancel twice. As they say 3rd time lucky. Enjoy your celebrations. Hugs

Thanks Suzanna, yes, it's 4.10 and Ben (our son) will be here soon. Trev picked up the boys Cooper, Chase and Cohen from school and I've just come home from Italian. Ben has his ute, so that we can collect the Pew. Can't wait to put the pew out on our back porch. Love Chris

Chris have a great weekend as your plans sound super fun. I look forwards to seeing pictures of some of your events and to see the finished quilt. Have fun and enjoy yourselves. My parents bought us two church pews when got married, we use them in our dining room . To be technically correct they came from a chapel. Is your church - Redhead being sold. We have many chapels in Wales that have been sold and turned in to homes and centres

The Redhead Church will be sold - it has been 'de-sanctified' and can no longer serve as a church. Anyone who wants to buy it can. I'm sure land developers will grab it pronto!
I'll certainly show you the quilt once finished. Love Chris
