oh my i will pray 4u .God please help my friend and calm the pain down.Be with the doctors and find the fault of the pain .Please heal her Jesus Amen
So sorry to hear that you took such a bad fall. Hopefully, you get better soon and your doctor thinks everything is ok. I hope you feel better soon.
Oh gosh! And you didn't go to the doctor right away? This could be written for my good friend who got bucked off her horse Thursday. She can't use her shoulder at all or tie her shoes and her thigh is swollen. She's a physician's assistant so I was mystified why she didn't get it x-rayed at work on Friday. Fortunately, someone caught the horse and put it in the corral. Another kind person saw her limping while walking home and stopped to give her a ride. Wait to see a doctor is not always a good idea.
Where did I say I didn’t go to the doctor right away? I know meds have me loopy. I did not want an ambulance, but hubby took me after I helped them get me up.The very next day I saw my regular doctor and will see him again next week.
Toogie, so sorry to hear it. I know what you are feeling. Hubby and I were out walking almost a year ago at 6:45 in the AM, and I fell and went face down. Luckily, I was tall enough that my face hit the grass, but I also injured my shoulder, ribs and thoracic spine. My doctor chuckled when I told her that I got up, and completed my 2-mile walk, but noticed it was hurt by the time we almost got home.
Hoping you start to feel better soon. Prayers for you. And you take care.
Cyper hugs.
Toogie I am so sorry to hear about this. Take care as it all sounds so painful. I hope your able to take time to recover and be looked after
Goodness gracious sweet friend! I'm so sorry. That must have been extremely painful! I am praying that you will have a successful healing week and your family practitioner will check you out as O.K. You take care and let us know how it's going.
Wishing you well. I fell a year ago and broke my wrist. You are lucky you are able to take pain meds...I couldn't, nothing stronger then Tylenol. Hope everything works out well for you. I envy you that you have your husband to help cook. I didn't realize how difficult it was to not be able to manage something as simple as a can opener. Or cut up vegetables or even lettuce. Glad you have someone to help you through this. Prayers to you.
I just apologized to him for falling again . I have been so careful. He will take care of me- he just helped me with my bath.
Glad you went to the ER. I can't blame you about the ambulance. I once had a trip from a stand alone ER to the hospital. There was nothing urgent about the trip, but they drove like madmen. Take care, especially if the meds make you loopy. We don't want another fall. So sorry you had this one.
So sorry to hear. Keeping you in my prayers. Rest up and take care. Hugs. Nan
Oh Toogie, I'm so sorry to hear this. I can understand you not wanting to be in the ambulance. It always seems so bumpy and the turns so hard in one. You just keep resting and letting your family take care of you When you are up to it, then keep us posted. And we will be praying up a storm for you in the meantime.
Oh no! Sounds like the worst pain ever! I am glad you will follow up with the doctor. This really makes me think, what would I do if I fell? I am thinking I should check on one of those falling button things. Please get better soon. Hugs and prayers, Suzanna
I fell in the backyard a year ago and broke my wrist. Even though I was outside no one could come to my assistance because everyone's doors were closed and they couldn't hear me. Try to get up off the ground with 1 wrist...can't be done. I was lucky as I could 'fanny' walk about 25 ft. to a stack of potting soil and was able to edge myself up one layer at a time. Then I went over to a neighbors to see if she could drive me to the ER. Needless to say I ended up driving myself. Anyway, one of those medic alert thingys is a good idea. I'm suppose to receive a replacement one soon. I watched a video on you tube about how to get up if you fall it really helped and kept me from panicking. They had a couple of suggestions on different ways to manage a VERY difficult task.
Suzanna if you are alone I do agree to the button . You can’t depend keeping a cell phone in pocket bc we all know we lie it down and walk to another room.
Good grief Toogie take it easy and please follow up with your Doctor soon. Sending gentle hugs. Marian
Goodness... you're description of the accident is telling you to GO see the dr..... but that's my opinion LOL DO take care and a speedy recivery!! Hugs, Dolly
My husband took me to emergency. The next day saw my doctor but I go again next week.
Please see the doctor soon, you may have damaged your shoulder in the fall, take care.
My husband took me to emergency. The next day saw my doctor but I go again next week. ER doc said nothing broken or out of place, just injured really bad.
You should have let them call the ambulance. I know your are tough but there is a time for everything. You never know. Hopefully you will not have too many aftereffects from the fall. I definitely will pray for healing. Hugs
You make sure you go to see the Doctor as soon as possible Toogie. I hope that there is no major damage done. Please be careful and take it easy. Love Chris
Almost passing out sounds like something going back into place. So sorry. It sounds quite painful and glad you have medication and rest. Praying for you and your new cook and maid!!!!
We have Alice, my IHome robot vacuum sweeper) that does floor. Hubby can cook . I need help with walking and changing clothes, bathing, I always had a fear of falling again bc hubby getting older to take care of me. My oldest daughter came help with my bath. Thank goodness I have my bath chair .
Oh, Toogie - maybe you should have let them call an ambulance. You might have a concussion, that they missed on the x-ray, besides shoulder problems. If you begin to feel worse - don't wait until next week - please! So very sorry about your fall. Please let us know how you are doing! Bunches and bunches of hugs and prayers for you, Laura
I have been sleeping day and night since accident but it’s 4:30 am and I am up. Finally awake some. My dr changed the pain medicine the er doc gave me so I don’t sleep all the time. In ER they gave me morphine that finally eased the pain. I’m so out of it I don’t know what I’m taking now. Hubby does my meds for me.
I told them if I can get off the floor we would go by car. I remember how rough the ride to hospital was going by ambulance when I fell & broke my leg.
