I had two messages last night about odd emails. It became obvious that Shirlener's email had been hacked. If you dont hear from anyone in ages/years and then a request comes for money then odds on the email account has been hacked. Its quite a time since we heard from her here and I have just looked back to check. Recently it was her birthday and she would have been aware that people would send messages but she hasnt responded. Sad not to see her here anymore. Perhaps there is a reason?
I too got it, as well as my husband. I think that this is a spammer trying to get things. Hubby deleted his. I spoke to another Cutie and she got a response asking for gift card....be very careful with this.
Gosh, I got one too... I waited a day thinking about if I should reply, but then did... I have not heard anything back though...
I had also gotten an email with her name. Good to know she is OK, but sad to see someone use her email in this way.
Lidia and other Cuties,
I got the same mail from Shirlene, and I did not trust the mail. because she asked money for the friend. Same as michelej wrote. So I did think too, someone hacked her mailing list..
Good to read in Chris' post she is okay.
Thank you, Gerry. I agree with you hat the most important thing is that she is ok.
Hugs, Lidia
Hi there, I too have received emails from Shirlene. I haven't heard from her in 13 years. She is asking me to buy google play gift cards for her friend as she is out of town and will reimburse me. Beware as I think her email address has been hacked.. I'm in Aus....
I received the same email. Worried me some! Happy to know that she is okay!!
I am afraid it might be a scam. I received one as well and it was in my spam folder. I noticed if you reply it becomes a different email. I did not reply but send a email to the aol address asking her if she had send this.
No answer. Her emails may have gotten hacked.
I also think that it's a spam and the fact that "her answer" to my reply (which is negative) came from another email address is intriguing, to say the least. Thank you for confirming my suspicion.
Hugs, Lidia
I wish I had noticed that the reply e-mail had changed...grrrr... I will be more careful in the future!
