Just had one of those days that one would prefer not to have. Went out at lunchtime in the car a few miles away and after a coffee the car would not start. That was 2pm. I phoned our recover service provider. By 5pm there had been a series of texts saying the rescue service was on its way... On the phone I was unable to find out where was and which garage was coming. At quarter to six there was a phone call saying could we leave the car overnight and a taxi would take us home and return us in the morning... Taxi booked and messages received and a last call from the recover service. Have you turned the engine over recently and please do so now? I dually did and hey presto the car worked. Quickly stuffed husband back in the car and drove home. The taxi has checked I am OK and not still sitting in a car park and the recovery service too. Hope your day isnt as exciting and you have been able to sew on your machines

Oh! dear that was an eventful day. I'm glad your car restarted for you and I pray that you can get it checked out now you are back home. Hope hubby is not too bad after his accident at the gym. Love Chris

Oh my!!! That is certainly quite the day and quite the story. I'm grateful that you, your hubby and the car are all safely home. Amazing how the car started after you talked with the recover service. Now I hope it will continue to start when you need it. Rest up and hope your hubby heals quickly. I like Toogie's suggestion and hope you manage to send us a picture of the celebration.

Well I’m not able to sew and about the most excitement I’ve had today was finding beautiful music on YouTube-lol
Your day reminds me of years ago something wouldn’t work for me, whether it be the car or something else. Hubby would get home and after I explained , everything would work for him, nothing wrong.
I, like Angie, laughed trying to picture you stuffing your hubby in the car. …Come to think of it, he is alive I hope! You haven’t done something to him in your distress I hope!( just teasing you)

Toogie I havnt followed your recommendations yet with the music. Husband is fine apart from injuring his leg at the gym last week and hobbling about on walking sticks. Im sure your taking care and slowly mending but its frustrating when you are not able to lead life as usual

I am glad to hear the reason you had for 'stuffing him in the car', although a hurt leg is no fun. He needs to get well quick, so when you find the beautiful music you two can dance! Have a good day!

I am sorry, but that made me chuckle. It is like walking away from your embroidery machine because she is acting up, but after a while she acts normal again. I think your comment about stuffing your husband back in the car made me laugh. I hope your car will be alright and not leave you stranded again. My machine is currently at the repair shop and I have to rearrange my sewing room.

My husband was chatting to the car left in the carpark which belonged to the shop manager saying we were leaving the car in their car park for the night. I had to go to the other end of the car park to 'try to start' our car. I drove to collect husband and asked him to jump in quickly before the engine stopped. Sorry to hear about your machine and good luck with sorting your sewing room out. Maybe when you have completed the task would you like to come and do mine as I never see to complete the task. Coco your dog is very welcome too

I just have to say, no reason he has a hurt leg, having to jump in quick, with the car going!-lol
