I hope all in the path of this terrible storm has and will make it through with no issues. I know this storm is huge covering much of the east of the USA. We, here in NW FL had a tough night but are OK. The thunder and lightning were constant, the rain torrential and the wind whipping. For someone (like me) who fears thunder and lightning, it was a terrible 4 hours. My prayers are up for all in the path of this storm. Now, is it me or are the storms getting worse?

We had tornadoes not too far from us but we got inches of rain and strong winds. Nothing damaged that we see but a few limbs down. We were fortunate.

Good to know you are OK. I was praying for you. I know this storm had a potential for tornados, strong winds and flooding so good to know folks are checking in.

Sorry it was so bad in your area - we are on the East coast of Florida and we have been getting the end of these storms, so we have been lucky. I understand more are to come and yes, I do believe they are worse and more prevalent - stay safe!! Hugs, Laura

Yes, it is going to be quite stormy in much of the country and so dangerously dry in others. We have friends who watch the weather patterns. There are scientists who study weather patterns over thousands of years and we are in a weather pattern called solar minimum. And yes for the next 2 years the storms will be getting worse. i don't know after that. So everyone hang on, life is going to be interesting. I'm glad you were getting the end of the storms and were safe and sound.

Thank you for checking in. I don't know if the storms are worse. Here in Utah things are so dry we will have to ration water this summer unless we get a lot of rain and snow to fill our reservoirs. Prayers for all in the path of the storms.

We are so aware of all who are in drought conditions, but you would not want a storm like this. I was so worried about the lightning starting fires because we were pretty dry. Thank goodness for the torrential rain.

For sure, our experience of the storms is getting worse. I watched your radars after mine expired at 3:00 am. Says we got a bit over 1 inch of rain, but felt and sounded like 5 inches! I guess it was the wind roaring that fooled me. Apparently we have more to look forward to, tonight. Thankfully, all the Alabama tornados I heard about were short duration.

Good to know you are OK. We had a couple of tornados near us, but haven't heard of any damage.
