Hello Cuties. Many wonder what things we can't have here. Quite a few that sell designs rely on the artist to make sure it is legal. That only works if they legally created it. Don't rely on random websites to keep your design stash legal.

As we approach Spring in the US digitizers try to use a well known Easter treat. Some of you have learned well-known means no-no.
The bunnies made of marshmallows are Trademarked, the name AND the shape of the bunnies as well as the baby chicks.
I agree it is messy all this legal stuff but we still have to do the best we can.
Please note, I am not an attorney. None of the Cuties are attorneys that practice in the intellectual property law. But if you want to read about the bunnies, use a search engine like Google and put
"Peeps" trademark licensing copyright
as a search and enjoy the legalese.

Wow, that's so disappointing, but good to know. Sometime folks can't even use their own name on a business as someone else has already claimed all the rights.

True
As an example of that, a young man was contacted by Disney for violation of licensing/copyright. His face and his hair look a bit like Loki from Marvel Studios. They wanted him to stop posting his face on Facebook. it is astonishing.
