These are great! I don't have a heat press - was it a big learning curve? Hugs, Laura
Not really. My heat press in an old Singer I got new years and years ago where the top goes down and adds the pressure of the heat--iron type settings no digital but cover also with a cover cloth to be safe. You can buy some of these as in those 2 shirts already for you to just heat press onto a shirt---all this stuff WILL NOT stick to anything NYLON.
One of our daughters has a vinyl machine. She make addresses to go on mailboxes, names on things (like my machines) , on wood signs or sayings for the farmhouse look, etc. She doesn’t like it as well as embroidery, for clothing, because she says it eventually starts peeling . I do like what you’ve done and things she’s made, though. It’s good to get your teenager involved and develop her love to craft.
Yes, toogie---the craft must go on! She tried sewing--all the girls have and they didn't stick with it. My hope is with this last granddaughter and my little 8 y/o great-grandD that got a Brother sewing machine for Cmas from her other MEME. I know they say the shirts are supposed to last for at least 50 washings but who knows. I'll get my wear out of it while my message of God gets out, lol.
Wow! These shirts look great! I am hoping that I can turn my new machine on next week. It's been a bit crazy here so I've had to wait. Keep giving me inspiration.
I'll try. I did buy those 2 screen prints already cut [didn't know they had such a thing for the consumer]. I'm just learning my self--grand D and me together. Lots of free stuff for that machine. It is the vinyls that really cost when you consider all the colors, glitz etc. I have bought some off brand tools that look the same as Cricut brand and just as good in my opinion.
Ha, ha. Bypassing embroidery?
Hi there---well sort of....did embroider a ToothFairy Pillow for my 5 y/o great grand D--it was to be for Cmas but when I found out she had already lost it I got it to her pronto. I have a kitty cat pillow head to embroider next from one of the Cuties. This Cricut craft was worth the money to keep my 14 y/o granddaughter coming over to craft--crafty granny thoughts here. She is making signs and flour sack towels for gifts. I didn't even know they had such a paper already prepared for someone to just heat press on shirts so I was very happy, although the colorful one was a bit pricey. 1st visit to a vinyl place we found local instead of ordering online.
