My word, have you been a busy busy person. These are just beautiful. I am catching up, or trying to, responding to all these wonderful projects. What a great idea. I also learned to crochet at a very young age and used to do it all the time--like baby layettes, when vests were popular, baby shoes, doilies but I can't read new patterns because of the symbols instead of the letters for the stitches. It also hurts my hands.
Ah that's too bad my pea Farmer Hurts my hands to but i do it anyways .lol Can't stop the sun from shinning or the place were all the snow is kept .Right?
Oh yeah!, I'll do it but only when 'in the mood'. Who doesn't hurt at our age--think you're a bit younger than me but we keep on keeping on until we can't--hope that never happens.
Am also busy doing a quilt with these blocks!!!
So ingenious Carolyn, they are going to look wonderful. You rock my friend, love Chris
Have you tried sewing with the machine without thread a line of holes with a thick needle or even a wing needle. This worked well for me when I crocheted onto flanelette. I guess it would depend how thick your yarn was and the size of your hook.

Love these, Carolyn...I also love to crochet...taught myself when I was a teenager...
Wow We took it in grade 6 at School Grades 7 and 8 were knitting. Many moons ago:):)
Very neat combining the two crafts. Look forwards to seeing the end result
Very good idea Carolyn, you will create original and beautiful baby quilts. Keep us posted. Hugs Roberta
These are wonderful - I love the combination of the two crafts! Well done!
Very creative but then that is you and what you are so good at. Love the designs and looking forward to seeing finished quilts. Curious do you have to punch all the holes before crocheting?
How clever of you, Where did you get the quilt blocks with the little circles that you crocheted into?
