Declan’s birthday quilt is finished. I was torn as to where to post this but since Kim aka dragonflyer digitized my highlights and placement line for my jellybeans, I decided to acknowledge her here. I actually sewed my jellybeans with a white backing fabric right sides together. I cut a slit in the white just large enough to turn right sides out, pressed. I then used Kim’s embroidered outline as a placement on my stabilizer. I used Elmers children’s glue stick and adhered my sewn jellybean on the placement line. I then embroidered the highlight. I knew there was no way to make the highlight in fabric so thank you Kim again for stepping up to digitize my need. I used a whole piece of yellow gold fabric and placed the jellybeans randomly. I then stitched them on with my sewing machine.
With my quilting and sewing machines, I then quilted and sewed the binding on but haven’t embroidered his label. I quilted the outline of the jellybeans and then just meandered around. I’m just glad to have finished it even though he doesn’t need it right now, it’s so hot. Ninety degrees today! This summer we may all melt.😩 I have one more children’s quilt to quilt then I may can start a big one for my daughter. I don’t need it until Christmas but we all know how that goes. 36064112452I have never seen a Jelly Bean quilt and I have to giggle because I sit at night and eat Jellybeans--have to get out of that habit soon. It is so cute! Love all the colors too. Kim is such a help, God bless her. This looks so good and flat too. Who would NOT like this one.??

It seems the dark colors look black here but no black jellybeans-ugh🤢 used all scraps for the JB but yardage of yellow. I bought a bolt of it when I made the Black& White Papa’s Delight queen. Thanks for looking!
96265A very happy and cute quilt it makes the mouth water. You are very creative to be able to do such a great job. It is only 62 degrees here and it feels warm, (I like 80 degrees) had the heat on this morning, wearing a sweatshirt. We have only seen maybe two days of over 70 degrees, On Thursday it is supposed to be 72 then it begins to cool to a high of 58 on Monday. Oh, I am ready for summer weather.

She sure did! They wouldn’t have been as good without those high lights. Declan is one of our 3 great grandsons. We have one great granddaughter, so far. It seems even with the g-grands we have a shortage of girls. Thanks

I don’t think I do so much but I did quilt and bind the one in Community/Sewing today. I just cut up 12 or 13 green bell peppers to freeze. We don’t have a garden but kids have been giving us cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and potatoes. I am hungry for fresh figs- lol

Kim has been able to fill all my odd requests-lol
I traced the jellybean off a candy bag and asked if she could make the highlight in embroidery stitches. She not only did that but gave me a placement line! Thanks A!
