Hello Cuties! Hope you’re not tired of seeing me😉I just quilted this child's quilt that I had pieced together before my fall. It was made with the tumbler template/ruler and Moda fabrics. I decided it would be a good workout for me to ruler quilt 1/4 inch away from the seams. Most of the time I was able to hold the quilting ruler straight. I think it was good therapy for me. So where I haven’t stitched quite straight won’t matter to a child receiving a quilt of love. At least I hope he feels the love I have made this with. I think this may have been one of my most enjoyable to piece or quilt. Also too because I love the fabrics with anchors and whales. Hope you like ‘his’ quilt, whoever he is. ❤️Toogie

Ps-I told you that I’d be using and you’d be seeing,a lot of this blue backing, in my quilts. I bought a whole bolt of 108 inch wide so it’s being used a lot! And here’s that sideways reduced picture😩 but I just love to see the quilts in the swing.
Edited to add These colors don’t Run quilt I pieced but another quilter quilted. She programmed her machine but isn’t the stitching lovely! I just had to sew the binding on so now it’s ready for a veteran.

Both are amazing! I love the tumbler and as you know I am progressing slowly to making my tumbler quilt. I will most likely save it for the winter sewing projects. I so much enjoy your posts. Still sending prayers for healing, Suzanna

These are really lovely. I've never tried ruler quilting but just don't think I could handle or hang onto those acrylic rulers while trying to keep my foot and needle where it needs to be. That is like rubbing the tummy and tapping your head at the same time for me. I can do it but eventually my brain and age takes over, lol.

You did make me laugh. It does take some doing to hold the ruler while moving the quilt around, that’s why most of my quilting is free motion stippling. Thanks for looking!

Any child is going to fall in love with that bright cheerful and filled with love quilt. Kudos to you for using your quilting as therapy for your arm. Your eagle quilt for a Veteran brought a smile. My husband just had a very large decal of a similar eagle placed on our travel trailer. It has the words In God We Trust on the ribbon in its claws.

I didn’t choose this eagle panel. It was passed on to me by another quilter. Actually it’s the same lady, Lynn, that quilted it when I got the top made. I wasn’t crazy about the dark colors and thought the red & white stripes would help brighten it up. I sent a photo to the lady that mailed me the fabric for the childs quilt and she loved how it came out. I told her we made a great team -lol Thanks

I have used the blue on my Skateboard throw quilt , the Lonestar 60x80 and the Prairie Flower queen. It’s 108 inch. I may have done more with it but can’t think if I have. Thanks
