Nice apron, the daisies make it very personal. Your neighbor will be pleased you thought of her while visiting your daughter.
Unfortunately she tested positive for Covid yesterday and won't want to see me as long as she's out of (self)isolation.
What a delightful apron, she will love it and the chocolates too! Your stripe placement is spot on! Enjoy your visit. Suzanna
Great job, the embroidered pocket make it perfect. Hugs Roberta
Thank you. I think I'll sew a few more when I am home, as it's an easy pattern and adding an embroidery can make it personal when I need some gift.
Oh wow, Margriet will love this! I know I certainly would. Looks like a nice pattern - pockets are always a plus on an apron!! Hugs to you!! Laura
Thank you. I think she will, and it comes with a box of Norwegian chocolates to make sure :)
Great job lovely apron. She will love it. Enjoy your time together.
How wonderful Martine that you got to spend time with your daughter. I'm glad you all got to do some sewing. It's good for the soul. Enjoy the rest of the time you have till you return next week. Love how you've matched everything up, well done. Love Chris
Thanks, Chris. It's wonderful to see more of each other after those periods of limitations. Love, Martine
Very nice. Glad you were able to finally visit and had such fun.
Nice to see old designs and people using your design Love it hugs xxxx
How sweet! Daisies for Daisy. This is a wonderful apron. I love everything about it. It's my favorite design with the high bib. I always seem to splatter when I cook.
I never understand how TV cooks can keep their clothes spotless - Splatter is my middle name :)
It is lovely and glad you got to spend time with your daughter and her friend. I will never be able to see one of the places of my heritage--Norway-only by pictures and shows about it. Lovely land. Your apron looks very fine to me.
It's a beautiful country and I am so glad we could meet again. Covid rules in our countries were different so either Esther could not come here or I could not go there easily. Facetime is not the same as being together.
I don't even know how to do those facetimes or zooms or anything like that. My youngest granddaughter sends my husband something so we can view together and talk but what I don't understand I just don't do which makes it hard. I understand each country wanting their rules abided by also for Covid or other threatening diseases. Glad you were able to go over though.
What a pretty apron! I love how you matched the remnant with the embroidery to the stripes too. It is certainly made with love for a special friend. I hope the rest of your visit is filled with peace, love and joy.
Looks like your having fun while with your daughter. Hope she is enjoying having the HV Ruby
Your neighbour should love her gift, you have done a excellent piece of work matching the pattern on the fabric together
Yes to the first two remarks. Esther and her friend made bias tape from scratch which took quite some time, and used it on all sides of the apron and pocket. I just quickly hemmed the whole thing and spent time matching the stripes.
It is nice to see how different choices make a huge difference in the look while using the same basic pattern.
