Twisted Star Quilt

I finally finished this quilt in time for my granddaughter's 26th birthday. She had recently purchased her first house, and I wanted her to have it for her housewarming. The bed that I have displayed it on was the bed that belonged to my Mother & Daddy. She is using this quilt on the antique poster bed that belonged to her mother, my younger daughter.

This is a quilt ITH design from Sweet Pea. It was actually a pattern for a pillow, but I used it for the quilt.

The first picture is the way I did the borders and shows the backing. Nicole picked the colors that she wanted in her home, and I used the shades of grey to co-ordinate with it.

Love the beautiful quilt and the color choice, stars and stripes are always a pleasure to see. So smart to take a pillow pattern and think to make mulltis to make a quilt, but that is you.
The display bed, what a treasure, thank you for sharing the history.

Excellent, beautiful work! I admire those who can quilt!
I haven't even tried, I'm afraid of such a big job.
My daughter is currently 26 years old. She likes your work. I think your granddaughter will love this gift from her grandmother.

Nice job! You know I love the patriotic colors!!! I don't think I'd have the patience making all these blocks in the hoop. Good for you!

It took 80 of the blocks to make that quilt. the 4 blocks together made about a 15" Square. That is largest quilt I have ever made I think and was so heavy to quilt.
