Hi Everyone, it was our last night in Singapore (Friday). We flew through the night arriving about lunchtime Saturday. Then onto Sydney central train station and off to Newcastle.

We've had an awesome time yesterday and today visiting beautiful places in Singapore. Of course we had to go to Raffles and we spent over 2 hours in the National Singapore Museum which was incredible. There were many pictures of the horrors of the 2nd world war and I couldn't stop crying at the absolute waste of life, so I didn't take pictures of that.
It absolutely teemed today and luckily we had umbrellas with us. Then the humidity struck!!!
We are looking forward to coming home.

It is now Saturday evening, we left Singapore this morning at 1.00am and arrived in Sydney about 11.11. (3 hour time added for Australia) Got through customs and the baggage carrier and out the door in an hour. Caught a train to Sydney Central, and then one home to Newcastle. Caught a taxi home and Trev had a snooze whilst I did the grocery shopping. It's now 7.30pm and Trev's gone to bed, he is bushed! I'll be going after some dinner. It's been a long day! Love Chris

2. Stunning purple Singapore Orchids
3. Trev enjoying a lovely Cappuccino in the Raffles Coffee shop
4. Me enjoying a coffee too.
5. Beautiful lights in the Singapore museum - which is absolutely amazing.
6. Trees in light forms in the Glass Rotunda

Hi Laura, well that's a great idea about relaxing at home, I wish I could. There's washing to be done, things to be done for the neighbours who looked after our home, dinner with Amy, Steve and the girls tonight. I need to buy some wrapping paper for the neighbour across the road who had a baby boy whilst we were away. I also need to get something for the neighbour who looked after Mum's mail whilst we were away.
I should be alright by Tuesday ha ha ha! Love Chris

Hi Toogie, they were amazing every half hour they would form a moving tribute back and forth and they looked like a snake moving. That whole Glass Rotunda with the coloured trees had a moving wall with animals of the forest and noises of their calls. I took a video of it as we walked around the spiral and it took over 3 minutes, it was incredible. Love Chris

Hi Suzanna, it was wonderful to share with my gals here. I love the little image too., Can't wait to get back into a normal routine. I actually lost some weight, not much only about a kilogram (a couple of pounds). Trev didn't and reckons he gained more than I lost, but he does like to have a beer and eats more than I do! ha ha ha!!! Love Chris

Welcome home!! What an incredible journey. You even managed the journey back to Australia to have beautiful experiences. I hope the jet lag isn't too bad and you settle back into your routine with no problems. Thanks for taking us on this journey with you, I know I enjoyed every picture and the stories.

Hi Karen, Trev seems to be quite jet lagged. I was great as soon as I got on the plane at midnight, I put on my earphones and listened to meditative music and slept for about 5 hours. Then on the train coming home to Newcastle which is a 2 and a half hour journey I slept for another hour. So I was quite ok when we walked in our front door. Bless our son Ben, he and the 3 boys had been over earlier in the day and opened up the doors and windows so that it was fresh. He had also mowed the lawns (actually Cooper the eldest boy did that for us) He will be 13 next month. It's good to be home though!! Love Chris

Hi Caroline, it is a fabulous place to visit. It is so clean, you could eat off the floors and highways. There are orchids everywhere and massive Stag and Elk horns attached to the magnificent trees all over the island. Love Chris
