SOMEONE PLEASE RESPOND ASAP

Cuties here is what I did wrong and can you help me get through it?
I am so limited on my time at this late date so guess I didn't give it enough thought.
I stitched my design for a patch. Here is my problem. I wanted to stabilize it well, because it is a dense design, so I used CUT-A-WAY. I wasn't thinking ahead about when I was to trim the fabric like you do for an applique, to get a clean edge I realized too late I should have used WSS.
Now even though I will still trim my fabric, I have the cut away left for my satin stitch, with same threads top and bottom.
Is there anyway to avoid or fix so the cutaway doesn't show on the edge?
Please help me in my twilight zone-lol

Sorry, just seeing this but you did great work! I hope the rest of the embroidery/sewing/holiday season is problem free.

Toogie, if you have a craft heat tool like a soldering iron, you can run the hot tip around the outside edge and it should remove the remaining cut away stabilizer...keep the hot tip moving as it could melt your satin edge. I do this all the time. Hope this helps...I did e-mail you two patch files earlier this morning...don't know if you saw them...

I didn't see until after I started my stitching or was through. Anyway, went to see and they keep shutting down my program so thanks anyway. Hope I'm through with this.

Toogie I did this very recently and saved it buy putting another piece of stabiliser in the hoop and I stitched the outline of the design out. My rubbish trimming skills had left the edge with furry cut threads everywhere. I used double sided tape to hold the patch in place so it fitted exactly or near enough to exactly and re stitched very successfully the over stitched edge. My problem now is that the tear away is still glued to the back of the patch but I decided to leave it there. My mistake today is to embroider a childs name onto a flannel and I have spelled the name wrong. He he, so that now needs sorting. Have fun with your saving of your patch but first walk away and have a cuppa and a break

That is a good tip for embroidering mistakes like I just made. I might copy this and put it in a file for future. In fact, I think I will now. Thanks

Hi Toogie, I've done that before and the only way I got our of it was to trim really close with my Canary brand curved scissors to remove as much of the cut away as I could. I found that once I used the same thread top and bottom that most of the cut away stabiliser disappeared. So good luck with it all and I am sure it will be fine. Love Chris

You do mean cut the cutaway AFTER I stitch the frame don’t you? I’m so crazy I thought about trimming my fabric then cut way and I told myself (yes, I’m at the point I talk to myself) silly me, would be in the hoop anymore 🙄
