This is a beautiful sight and I know all will enjoy every bit. But I agree, counters and tables filled with dirty dishes is not such a pretty sight. I hope you got to rest a bit.
Christmas is delicious at your house for sure! Merry Christmas to you!
Yum, everything looks so good!! Pralines are a favorite of mine!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!! Hugs, Laura
Laura I hope you and your hubby are feeling much better. We have been trying to stay well so we can have Christmas and now my pipes are freezing. May not be able to have it if we don’t thaw.
Busy busy you! Everything looks wonderful! I used to have about 22 for Christmas Eve but not for the last 3 years. This year I have had too much on my plate. Everyone understood. Christmas Day I will go have dinner with my sister at the assisted living. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Suzanna
Thank you Suzanna and I’m glad you won’t be alone. In the morning I guess will determine if Christmas with family will be postponed. My north bathroom tub pipes are freezing up and my commode take refills sound like a slushee, so the water much be freezing in those lines too. The south is not equipped for this Siberian cold.
Hi Toogie, it's 5.45 Saturday morning as I write this, am waking up early as it's so light!!
Your sweet selections for Christmas day look wonderful. I'm making a pretty salad this morning, then at 10.30 going to Mum's place to collect Jewls then to the Nursing Home to collect Mum and we are all off to our daughter Amy's place for our Christmas gathering. As we aren't available tomorrow to celebrate with the family Amy said she'd have it today. She's a sweetie.
Tomorrow Trev and I will be going to our son Ben's place to have breakfast and then we are off to our best friend's place at Mount View and we are house/dog sitting them for about 10 days. Ben and Mia (his partner) and Ben;s 3 boys and Mia's girls will be coming up in the afternoon, Ben's boys haven't been before, so it will be a big surprise for them.
We are having our Christmas together with his family. Our poor elder daughter Dana has come down with Gastro and feels like she's dying (she said), so she doesn't want Mum (her Nanna) o catch anything and therefore will not be celebrating with anyone this weekend. I think she's just exhausted from work. She's an assistant Principal at one of our local Primary Schools and has just been so busy that she's neglected herself. I'm praying that she will be better by Sunday, but she said it's too risky to be near Nanna when she's like that.
I pray you have an awesome day on Sunday, thinking of you all celebrating with your feast. We'll be having seafood and Steve (Amy's husband is cooking Beef). It's going to be about 30C for the next couple of days, so a very hot Christmas. Love Chris
It’s so cold here Chris, suppose to be16 degrees Fahrenheit tonight. Yikes!🥶 I can’t stand the cold. Marsha brought us 3 portable heaters that they use in their deer hunting stands, in case our electricity goes off. So far we still have power and water. It will be a mess Sunday if we lose either trying to have Christmas for 25 or so people.
Your plans sound nice. Is this the first Christmas in Amy & Steve’s new home? I forget because time is so fast these days.
What a feast. Enjoy it and hope you have help with the washing up. Happy Christmas to you
Hubby doesn’t mind helping out with ‘some’ of the washing dishes and chopping seasonings. Every little bit helps take the load off…and besides, it may give us time to play a few games of Farkle-lol
