Hi Cuties, we took Mum out of the nursing home

(Saturday) for our family Christmas. It was great for her morale.
She ate Prawns, some vegetables, some beautiful brisket with marinade to die for them dessert.
We took lots of pictures with those grandchildren who could come.
The last photo is one I love as Steve (our son in law) and Mia (our son Ben’s partner) made Mum laugh out loud over something funny.

Merry Christmas to you all and I pray that 2023 brings us all good health, lots of love and happiness. Love Chris

Hi Karen, blessings to you too and I pray that you will be soon well. Mum enjoyed herself immensely, got a bit confused with dialogue but that's par for the course. Love Chris

Hi Suzanna, I was just so happy to actually get one of her smiling, she doesn't often smile at the camera, looks everywhere but at it. Love Chris

Hi Suzanne, yes they are all growing up. Beautiful kids and I just hope they appreciated all the work that Steve and Amy went in to making this a memorable day. Mum enjoyed it so much and was very tired when we took her home. We got back to the nursing home about 6.30 and we dressed her in her nightie and she was almost asleep before we left the room!!! Jewls is with her today having lunch with the Residents for Christmas day. Love Chris

I love these photos! Mum looks just as happy as she always was. Your grandchildren, her great grandchildren, have grown so much! I guess it’s been a while since I’ve seen them. I know Amy’s youngest is my Nora’s age of 9 and the others are older. It seems like they grow up so fast. Glad everything went well and I know great memories were made.❤️Toogie

Hi Toogie, yes, the kids have all grown up - Ryke is so tall now and built like a body builder, mind you he works out every day at his local gym. Ophelie (Amy's elder daughter) is taller than me (which isn't hard as I'm only 5'2") Delphi is the 9 year old like Nora and Aqualina is the same age as Ophelie, but a bit shorter. Havana at the back left is Mia's elder daughter and at 15 is also quite tall.
We had a wonderful day and you are right memories to keep. Love Chris

Hi Angie, it was wonderful to get her out of the nursing home. It was her first outing since the fall on the 22nd November!!!! I think little Delphi was a bit surprised at Mum's lack of condition, she's lost a lot of weight. Amy had forewarned her that Great Nanna Pat was much smaller than she used to be. We now need to fatten her up!!! Love Chris

Hi Caroline, we had an awesome day - I even went for a swim in their pool! Many laughs all round, at my expense. You don't often see me in bathers, but I bought one of those zippered tops (rash shirt that stops the UV rays from penetrating your skin) and a pair of shorts that match (black and white of course). It was chilly to start and then the body got used to it, it was a hot day, so quite welcome in the end. Mum had a good day and that's my favourite memory. Love Chris
