You have done an excellent job making this queen size quilt. The colors are magnificent and so is your piecing. I am curious too which Quilt as you Go technique did you follow? My sister did one and her back was not as pretty as yours.
I understand what you mean about size. I thought I was finished with my oldest daughter’s top, a queen. She now says she needs a King because she will be getting a new bed. The borders will have to be un-picked and more blocks added. I also had to order more fabric. I’m not enjoying piecing it and I will still need to quilt it. I will be so glad to see the end of this one.
I don’t see the link to the quilt pattern. Did you forget to add it?
Thanks, Toogie. Oh, I do not know what happened to the link, it was there when the Sumit button was hit. This is the web site, you will need to do a copy and paste. Https://www.abrightcornershop.com/product/division-quilt-pattern-pdf-version . The quilt as you go technique used was Noah - Carolyn's version that was posted on May 15, 2021. I also found a You Tube Video that also helped. A quilt of any size can be made using this method, but the bigger it gets the more difficult it becomes to work with because of the bulk. Your quilt does not sound like fun. Is it possible to add another border or two instead of adding more blocks?
No not the way the pattern is. I don’t mind the ripping as much as making more blocks with 2.5 inch pieces😩
Thanks for the link. I have been to that site before with something I saw on Pinterest. I’ll check it out again. Happy New Year!
Beautiful quilt...which QAG technique did you use?
Thank you. I used Noah - Carolyn's method that was posted on May 15, 2021. Thank you, Carolyn. I also watched a You Tube video using the same method.
It may have been time consuming to make, but it is so worth it. I know the recipients will treasure it for many years to come.
I did show my niece before it was completely finished to be sure she liked it. She didn't just like she loved it and gave me a big warm felt hug.
Love this quilt and pattern. Corner lights makes sense. Also 50 shades of Purple. Well done.
Thank you. It is not a hard pattern to piece together, I plan on using the pattern again but not as a quilt as you go. I am still undecided on the name; Corner Lights and 50 Shades of Purple are my favorites.
Well the finished results are stunning and what a super wedding present
