SewWhatPro - absolutely fantastic software. Pre wound bobbins.
Embird has been very important - I use it with design I am going to stitch out! I have Embrilliance - but have never used it! Our Cute Embroidery friend, Meg gave me a suggestion years ago to bite the bullet and buy the software, Deduper. That little software package has been indispensable! It opens, extracts and saves all my zip files. It has gotten more expensive each year and you can only use it on one machine. But, it has saved me so much time - I couldn't do without it and so far all updates have been free. I do have to say, I love love love my Babylock Venture 10 needle machine. It is amazing and I am so very lucky to own one! This was a great question!! Hugs, Laura
Laura I remember Meg mentioning Deduper but never bought it so maybe I need to think about it. I think we all love the different machines that we own and I am sure I remember you getting your 10 needle machine at a great price. Just keep enjoying yourself with them and all the other bits that make them work so well
Caroline, I really appreciated this question. We can all learn something from it!!
There has been many but I would have to say my software and my magnetic hoops which I barely use :( I'm hoping that when I retire soon, it will change that ... FIESTA :)
Embroidery software...a machine with large hoops, 200 colors of 5000meter threads that I still love today and purchased a decade or more ago, Kai scissors and rotary cutter (all of them!), my 10 needle Valiant...
anit slip mat for dish drawers, it sits on my table and holds the frame when i clamp fabric, cost 3,-€, hugs Maria
Buying 160 - 5000m threads through Shirlene, years ago, (because they wouldn't allow me to buy them direct from them) - which of course I will have till I die!!!!!!
The best shears one can get, a self healing mat and great Rotary cutters. And of course first class stabiliser and my favourite shop Thorpe's Sewing machine shop which services by babies and has fabulous fabrics, threads and all things sewing related, plus I get discount for my patronage. Love Chris
Besides the REQUIRED good scissors my best purchases would have to be: eight spool thread holder, Teflon sewing foot, Grabbit (donut) bobbin savers in various colors for different types of bobbin thread, and a clear centering ruler.
I love having hoops in many different sizes to match whatever my project is. But the flip side of that is I do have a couple of those that I never use, like the endless hoop for rehooping easily. Hugs. Nan
Good quality thread, well digitized designs and good websites like Cute. And I am so grateful for dealers who are there when we need them with service, advice, classes and lots of fun projects to drool over.
Ah, that's so much easier. The investment of my time in free classes to learn many ways to use my embroidery machine. And investment in quality digitizers' designs. What a joy! My three all time favorites: Miss Veronica's designs here on the Cute sites, Floriani, and Anita Goodesign.
Lucky you to have free classes. I live a 3 hour journey each way from my dealer and such activities so all I do has been trial and error and working out for my self. Its all been great fun though. I like your choice of embroidery sites
I have the best shop. They sell the machines, they constantly offer classes in how to use them, they do excellent maintenance and repair, and they offer machine purchasers a 10% discount on other purchases, such as designs, threads, fabric and notions.
