I am glad you had your sister there to work on the quilt. Cute quilt, don't worry about the stain, baby blanket will see more stains. I missed you on Cute. Hugs, Suzanna
How sweet of you! I am trying to get back into things. We have our National Sew Day, with Quilts of Valor tomorrow. I may try to attend, mainly just to get out and away. Thanks
You and Sheila made a great team with this quilt. I hope you both get to work together more often. I agree with jrob, try a little bit of Dawn. It works magic with grease stains. Otherwise, just think of it a bit of character. It'sgood to see you posting again. You have been missed.
Thank you, I miss Cute and all of you. Just a lot happening right now, so not sure how often I can post, just keep our family in prayer as I know you do. ❤️
I can't tell what it is, but if feels like it's grease based, squirt some dawn on it and throw it in the wash. It will take it right out.
I thought too it may be grease but when it came out yellow, I thought of wax for some reason. I don’t know but I will tell her she can try the dawn on it. My ‘new’ Maytag washer I got a couple years ago takes almost 2 hours to wash if you use the setting that fills the washer tub with water. I hate those sensor type settings that just spray water on your clothes, but I hate to fill a tub with a small item in too. There is no small, medium, large fill like old washers were. I hate this thing.
That's why I bought a Speed Queen. Made in the USA, fills with water and has an agitator. I love her and protect her with all I have. :)
This Maytag fills with water if you want your clothes in water but no level setting. It fills the whole tub no matter the size of the load. Mine also has the agitator.
I glad to hear Speed Queens are made better now. Our first washing machine was a SQ and the first year, before I got it paid off, it had to be repaired. I had nothing but trouble with it but that was over 50 years ago. Good to know a real someone with a good review.
Lovely scrappy babyquil you have sewn together with your sister
Thank you. When she told me she wanted to make this expectant mom a baby quilt, she said she liked piecing but not quilting. That’s when I offered to quilt and bind it for her.
Silly me, I looked all over the patchwork and thought, gosh where's the spot? Didn't see the second photo till after I exited out - he he he.
I wouldn't worry about it either, after a few washes it might disappear and as Betsey has said - it's the back!!! Love Chris
Sheila said the girl will appreciate spot or not but I did wash it and try to get it out, oh well.
It's cheery and glad you and your sister did a project together. Quit worrying about the green fabric flaw. It's the back!
Thanks Betsey, I told my sister she should call it an I Spy quilt but she was calling it something else and I can’t remember now what it was.
