In need of some advice. My DH surprised me with a new laptop which I was in desperate need of as the old one was several years old. While I love the idea of the new computer, I am very hesitant of moving everything from the old to the new. Any suggestions or hints? I have so many designs and have spent hours sorting and categorizing them, not to mention all the ones that I have made. Thank you for your help!

First, COPY, don't move or "back-up" the designs. In fact copy all the data you want to save. Use an large thumb-drive USB to save all the data you want to keep. Then, when you transfer the data to the new computer, your data will be safe as it will be separate from either computer. When you transfer your data to the new computer, your design files will be set to open with Adobe. Your software may or may not work on your new computer. Check online for special instructions Before you begin. It isn't hard or scary as long as you have your data safe.
