So happy to see your smiling face...good news getting this surgery behind you......prayers!
Thanks Vicki, it was good to be out, but when I got home I rested!!! That's when the phone call came about Mum and of course I didn't hear it, as I had the phone on silent. Poor Mum! Anyway I visited her in the Belmont hospital yesterday and she was taken back to the nursing home yesterday afternoon. She has her arm in a sling, which she doesn't keep her hand in unfortunately! We will have to police that. Love Chris
Great news that your surgery is behind you and you were able to attend Ophelie's event! She is growing up so fast!!! Hopefully, your Mum's shoulder isn't hurt too bad! Hope you get a chance to rest!!! Bunches of hugs, Laura
Hi Laura, yes, I'm thankful that it went so well, now it's just waiting on the next visit and then onto further treatment. Isn't Opehlie tall, can you remember when I first put up photos of her as a little baby? She is a beautiful young girl too! Mum is in good hands and being looked after, but she can't always be watched 24 hours, so there are times when she is on her own. But, the staff always ring me to let me know if anything has happened. Love Chris
You are looking well Chris. Good to know that part is done. Sorry to hear your Mum had a fall. Sending prayers to all. hugs
Thanks Shirley, yes, it's a bummer, isn't it? She is still confused about it all, but that's Mum all over he he he. Thanks for your prayers too. Love Chris
Congratulations Ophelie!!! Good job! You look great Chris, for just having surgery and all you’ve been through. I hope they got it all and you continue to enjoy the life you’re living.
I hurt my back, day before yesterday, again. Hubby had his mylegram scheduled for yesterday at the hospital. Richard was the only one could go with him if I couldn’t go. We had to leave by 8 and admit for 9 am and didn’t get home until 4 pm. I went instead and managed to drive us home. I didn’t want Richard tied up all day at the hospital waiting. They had to wheel me and hubby in wheelchairs all over. While in admitting they asked my name so they could take us on through. They were surprised that I wasn’t the patient. I guess I looked as bad as I felt. Hubby will see the neurosurgeon next week for results.
I don’t know how I’ll make it but Nora has to give a speech at her ‘homeschool’ group and wants us to attend. Ashley asked if I thought I could make it so….. I will try. She is young and thinks Gram and Papa have to be there.
I feel your dilemma Toogie. It's always great to be at your grandchidlren's events and they love the fact that you've made the effort. I'm doing really well and am resting as much as I can what with what has happened to Mum only on Friday!! I can't leave that woman alone for too long, something always happens!!!! I hope you both recover well and that you will be back to full health. Love Chris
It's good to hear and see you are doing well. I'm so glad you are able to pick up your life again so soon. My prayers are added that your mum is OK. Be sure to rest so you can continue healing.
Yes Karen, I am resting more than usual, but that's good right? Trev is doing as much as he can and I've just got to get Mum organised! Love Chris
So glad you are mending so wonderfully. Hugs to you. Nan
So glad your surgery is in your rear view mirror...glad you felt well enough to enjoy the rest of your day....
Dearest Chris, your activity after surgery unbelievable. I am glad your ventures were meaningful. Ophelie is beautiful and congratulations on her award! Hopefully Mums shoulder is just a bruise and not broken. Last August Sister Sandy fell and had to have complete shoulder surgery. I am praying for you and Mum for successful outcomes. Love and hugs, Suzanna
Thanks Suzanna, unfortunately it is broken. Her bones are so brittle and the doctor at Belmont Hospital, told her she shouldn't have too many more!!!!!!!! I worry about her, so hope she can get in quickly this week to get some relief! Love Chris
Oh excellent news that you have had your surgery. Sounds like you are as busy as ever so do take care and let those around you take over for a short while. I am looking forwards to seeing your super quilt completed. Take care
Hi Caroline, thanks for your reply. I'm letting those around me do things for me, but you won't believe this. Mum had a fall on Friday and has broken her humerus on her right arm!!! I've got to take her into the John Hunter Hospital sometime this week to the fracture clinic! I was asleep when I got the phone call, was still a bit dozy on Friday! I'll be fine though, love Chris
